Pretty fascinating (and often dark) show. Hamilton Morris has been making these documentaries for years and now in its first season as a series on Viceland. Picture an edgier Anthony Bordain-style show but with a psycho-active drug expert taking you on a world tour of psycho-active drugs - and their history, culture, science, and social implications.

Clip from current season - episode about mushroom cultivation in Mexico:

Full episode from video series, Psychedelic truffles in Holland:

I watched back to back last night..Salvia then PCP.

It's pretty interesting show. Quite informative I thought.

Salvia is more a medicinal shamen type psycho drug and when used responsibly ( not just to feel different high) it's more spiritual for the end user as he was saying thru the trip.

I do like the historical / origin information this show provides.

Hope he gets paid well...needs to get some new jeans...those high-waters were Killin me. Lololol.

Def gives that East Village/Haight Ashbury vibe lolol

I watched those two also last night. The PCP one was outstanding.

I really liked the Salvia one due to it showing just how respected the plant is. How revered, those who administer the trip, are within thier culture.

Pretty cool to see a PhD psychologist say the "shamen" have basically the same knowledge as PhD when it comes to the brain inner workings and how the drug interacts and little tricks they use to enhance the effects.

Fascinating show. It provides a very well rounded perspective in a condensed format. Salvia and mushrooms were excellent, very informative.

Great show, but why does he look like he just woke up and hasn't eaten in days?

Crazy that guy on pcp cut off his own dick, and funny as hell that Hamilton asked to see it

Interesting that he had such an enlightened moment on how to solve his problems, yet he couldn't find any other solutions

I know someone who had a spiritual awakening on pcp. Interestingly enough, she understood in that moment she would never smoke pcp again and changed her whole life around.

I really enjoyed the Salvia episode. I also like how the show's structure is weird and awkward, mirroring Hamilton's experiences and encounters with new people.

I hope he does an episode on ayahuasca/DMT

Last episode was a neat little history on some underground chemists, kinda like the Walter White of LSD, minus all the killing and add in all the hippie love man :rasta:

I remember the story of Hardison and I was glad to find out he's no longer in prison. He would not submit to the authority of the courts and I thought they would throw away the key on him.

My auto-record isn't working. I need to find it again and reset it.
