Forgot this was making it's return tonight. Any fans don't forget to tune into your local PBS station tonight for 8.

Yeah, I was happy to have Sherlock back, but not sure how I felt about that episode. Keeping it spoiler free, obviously the ending was a real downer. But the episode itself felt disjointed -- I'm not sure what they were doing with John and his side plot there. Seemed out of character and really random.

I agree. Moffat had typically done well with Sherlock at the detriment of Doctor Who IMO. Seems he's now bringing the disjointedness of Doctor Who to Sherlock, which is truly sad if it continues this way.

I'd put about a 99% certainty that John's side plot is directly tied to whatever Moriarty scheme is cooking.

It was a downer episode, but at the same time, really good. I enjoyed it.

SPOILER ALERT
Don't read below until you've seen it.

Just so we're clear: in the real world where physics actually applies, there's no way that could have happened. No human being can react quickly enough once the trigger had been pulled. They were at most 12 feet from her, and a bullet travels far too quickly to move in or out of its path once the trigger had been pulled. Sherlock would have been shot.

So, yes, I'm going to gripe about Moffat and his plot ideas.

I assumed that as well, but it never panned out in that episode, and with the ending, it seems that if it was part of his plot, it will have less of an impact now.

I think you and I are both on the same page that BBC TV will be a much better place once Moffat is gone from everything.

I think it's pretty obvious everyone knows that. In the real world the situation doesn't go in slow motion where you see the bullet coming out of the gun either. I don't think he's so stupid as to think the audience believes that she moved after the bullet was fired. In my opinion anyway, she lurched in anticipation, but it made better suspense to do the slow motion / last second jump. It didn't bother me a bit.

Finally saw "The Final Problem".

Steven Moffatt needs to go away from everything ever. How did he convince anyone he had talent? First, he messes up Doctor Who, now Sherlock.

First, we had the ridiculous bullet jumping scene, now we have the most observant man in the world not notice he doesn't have a reflection. Yes, completely believable, Mr. Moffatt. Even tough I could see he wasn't casting a reflection, I'm sure he wouldn't notice. Egad. Also, you don't throw a rope down for a guy whose foot is chained to the ground. And a plane that's been falling for several hours while they were passed out and transported cross country? Like he couldn't do the math and figure out right away what's real? Really?

It was a decent episode overall, but stop being impressed with your own cleverness and honour your characters for who they are. Also, pay attention to details. Better yet, go away and stop messing up good shows with your lousy writing. :jpshakehead:

I've only watched a few episodes this season. Please tell me he's leaving Sherlock as well. Moffat has made these shows unbearable to watch.
