What am I missing with this guy? He was down here for years, and was average at best.

He was hurt half the time and was not a serious threat on the court.

Now he leaves and he has a better 3 point percentage than Steph Curry?

Did he hate New Orleans so much that he played poor to leave?

His progression with the Rockets indicates better scheme. I don't think he hated New Orleans but I don't think he likes playing for this staff. The unwillingness of the Pelicans to bring in a true #2 option makes this team an undesirable landing spot for potential depth. Who would want to come to a team that can't win with Davis a it's best player? If they spend the money bring in 2 above average players, other free agents might see the potential and want to build with Davis. Gordon did what Paul did, he ran for a tab with potential before his career was ruined here.

It's bad enough that it happens with the Saints, but the Pelicans too? That's pretty bad.
I could understand since Monty was a defensive guy, but Gentry is an offensive guy. Maybe the system is still bad.

Honestly, we really don't have the talent to run the system.

I never hated Gordon when he was healthy... when healthy he averaged 15+ points 5+ assists and 5+rebounds.

he was great last season until he broke his finger.

I guess it was just not meant to be when he was down here. Happy he is succeeding in Houston. If the Rockets stay healthy they could be a real threat to the Warriors in the playoffs.

He missed his first game as a Rocket last night. Let's see if it was just a minor issue or if it will turn into something more, which always seemed to be the case in New Orleans. He would have something small turn into something big and go from missing 1 game to 6 weeks.
