Now thats bad ***. There was an article a year or so ago where Ahmad Brooks was unhappy about his passrush chances. He threw this big fit and then on his own apologized because he didn't want to draw the ire of Coach Tomsula/ was subsequently benched.

edit: Guess it was 2 years ago, had to go back in my memory banks to remember that so pardon that i wasn't exact.....least i remembered :D

VERY EXCITED about this!!!

He is truly one of the great DLine coaches in the game, and he would be a HUGE addition!

Tomsula is EXACTLY what we need in an assistant coach.

He was an utter failure as a head coach simply because he didn't fit the "smooth talking" image. Even the bad-***** head coaches are completely smooth and are big picture kind of guys.

Jim Tomsula struggled with speaking to the media, struggled with the big picture of it all.

What he is, though, is a perfect position coach, especially for DL. He will get in that film room with the bid uglies, get on the practice field, and there is no doubt we will play balls to the wall. Talk about players running through a brick wall for a guy. Talk about a guy you want on your side heading into battle. Listen to EVERY SINGLE player that has been lucky enough to play under him. He couldn't go back into DL at SF, it's a demotion that just doesn't happen. But here in NOLA? Absolutely, he'd be welcomed with open arms and is EXACTLY what we need.

Pretty much, when I read that article above and saw all the tweats from Ahmad Brooks apologizing (and he's known for being a bad ***) i knew then that Tomsula was one of those guys that doesn't play behind the scenes and commands major respect.
