Whether we draft foster or barnett in the first, if Watt is there when we pick in the 2nd, I say we pounce on him. He's slightly undersized for an olb, but the scouting report says he can do it all; he can play stand up d-end, pass rush, and has a knack for the ball. He will also bulk up a little, so no concern with his size imo.

I watched him in a couple games this year and I couldn't help but notice his tenacity, he plays with passion and a high motor; something that I think would greatly improve our front 7. He always seems to be around the ball as well.

This guy is too good to pass up in the 2nd if he happens to fall to us regardless of who we pick in the 1st.

Opinions?

I actually have no problem getting something of value after the first. We all know picking out of needs are risky. But if the team can find that player who will make an impact right away, then my all means go for it. Last year, most here was shock and disappointed we got Michael Thomas when most of our needs were on defense. Wide receiver was not a position of first priority but it became our best draft pick. Just imagine if we took someone else. Who knows what our offense would of been without him.

Good analogy. And because of Thomas being the stud he is, I believe we double down on improving our front. Maybe make up for anthony pick (even though I still have hopes for him).

I look at it this way....We are going to need him anyway down the road. The more play maker we have the better. Not saying Watt is the right choice. I haven't seen him yet to judge. But any player who can make such an impact like Thomas is an "A" for me.

I'd be fine with Watt in the 2nd or 3rd. He is relentless and when he grows into his 6' 5" frame he'll be a monster!!

The genetics are already there for him anyway!!............:9:

On Anthony, I understand reservations because of his struggles changing positions. He is very talented, that didn't go away. How many players have been around 3 or 4 years before they work out? Quite a few. I'm not giving up yet.

I agree. He was too good as a rookie to all of a sudden fall off the edge of a table like what happened last year. I'm not giving up on him either!!
