Was disrespectful after getting a parking ticket... Me too, 1000 times.

Hit a female... Never have, never will, but it's taken the restraint of a God a few times in my life. (but I have done plenty that would drop my draft stock I can promise you)

Now, That's over 2 years ago. And he's a kid. Kids grow up. I know we only go for "character" guys, and I know that RB isn't one of our needs, but...

Out of all the RB's in the history of the game, the NFL.com scouting profile chooses to compare him to Le'Veon Bell. Now I'm all for taking such things with a grain of salt... but somebody is going to take him. He is going to be a RB in the NFL. If he falls far enough, could we take him? Our very own Le'Veon Bell does all sorts of things for my happiness.

He's legit, on the field. But that dude is pure concentrated drama. He seems more like a Bengal, than a Saint. Let someone else try to rehabilitate him. We have a defense to fix.

Not this again....

yes, yes, yes... I know.

I remember this topic about a month ago and I didn't chime in. Today, I'm scrounging around draft profiles and read up on him a little more. If this guy even touches Bell, our offense becomes something else all together. I don't have any beef with Ingram like some, but the day/night difference between Bell and Ingram is interesting. I can only imagine a Le'Veon in our backfield. Almost wouldn't be fair.

I think it's overly stubborn to let him fall too far. He's a steal in the 3rd, a cause for all night celebration in the 4th. I hope he's a Saint. As I've said, he's a bigger, stronger and faster Pierre Thomas.

You bring some great points. I guess I would compare him to another La'el Collins. That dude has major skills, but hampered by pre-draft OTFP. High risk high reward pick.....I say roll the dice.

Well to be fair, La'el didn't actually "do" anything wrong or even appear to. He was asked to come in and talk to police about an ex-girlfriend that was murdered. Never even a suspect. One of the biggest slips by our coaches that I can remember. We needed a guard. There was a 1st round talent available at a position of need all the way through the draft. We take him, OG is off our need list for years.

Mixon is a different animal. The question is this: Is that one moment in his life, who he really is? If so, you pass on him in the 7th round. If he's a good kid other than that moment, then he's a steal from the 3rd round on. Just not sure how he'd mesh with Ingram. We might have to "do" something there if we drafted him. I think Ingram would be cool with us taking a satellite back, but not a 3 down guy like Mixon. That's my biggest knock on Ingram. He's good, just not as good as he thinks he is.

Well said. I would take him if he fell to the 3rd or 4th round.

His patience in letting lanes develop are similar to Bell, although Bell is the zen master of it.
I would completely roll the dice on Mixon. Maybe the kid has learned his lesson?!?! As a 2nd day pick, it's worth the gamble

Now... could Ingram and Mixon co-exist in the backfield? a'la Duece / Pierre?

It seriously paid off when Kansas City took the chance on this sort of thing. Trade back into the fifth if he's still there or use the 4th if he far exceeds everyone else's value.
