Wifey won a $1700 sales incentive from BestBuy.

Time to go flat screen. We currently have a 32" Sony Trinitron which I love but it is a ship anchor and it would be nice watching movies in letterbox.

What should we get, Plasma or LCD or DLP? Can't be much bigger than 40" to fit the space. (Plus we would like to get a Tivo with some left over cash, if possible)

Any ideas?

Best Buy has Westinghouse W3213 HD 32" Flat-Panel LCD HDTV available for $540 (add to cart to see lower price).

and then get a surround sound sterio system and start a movie library

man, I need your wife - wine rep and willing to spend her prize money on a TV. Mine would fritter it away on curtains or some such nonsense.

That 42" panny plasma is quite nice and the price has dropped a bunch since I was looking at it a few months ago. But I ended up going with the Hitachi - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...CategoryId=pcmcat95100050005&id=1142293092238

It's $180 more (it was less than the panny when I bought it), but I think the picture is better. Severum will be by shortly to tell you what to buy, though.

Just be sure to go in and look at the pictures on them.

Oh, believe me, she would much rather have a gift cert from Pottery Barn or Ikea. The supplier was a guy and he was like..."what would be a good motivation for me, BIG SCREEN BABY!" I think I'll plant a big wet one one him the next time I see him.

I think you should buy me something really nice. Thanks.

Because BestBuy has the coolest curtains in town.

oh, she'd figure out a way to turn that into curtains or dust ruffles or throw pillows or sumpin.

And for God's sake, don't even think about sleeping with a throw pillow. That is punishable by death in my house.

To me...a pillow is a pillow.

When she's not home, I stack the throw pillows on top of each other and use them all at once. I'm a rebel...

When mine's not home, I eat on the sofa.

I know...pathetic.

especially when mine's at home, I throw them on the floor with great malice of forethought because there's no room to sit on the damn sofa.
