I don't think this will make as big a splash as the NES Classic. I got a modded NES Classic included with all the SNES games I wanted. Since you can already preload all the SNES and Sega games you want on an NES Classic, many will continue to mod out their own consoles or pay extra for a modded console, rather than settle for 21 games.
Whatever you choose to do is definitely worth it though. It had been so long since I played Super Metroid that rediscovering the gameplay took me back to being a kid again.
I don't know. One of my co-workers has been F5'ing like 10 websites every day all day long. Europe already started with pre-orders, but the US hasn't. I think he actually already ordered one from France and will see if it works. I think it's USB powered, so it may.
