I get it. I probably wouldn't have noticed it if not for watching a female reviewer take issue with the following points:
- All the butt shots from below when she's wearing tight leather pants
- butt shots when she's slo mo fighting guys in the museum
- when Aquaman sits on the lasso of Hestia (truth) and praises everyone on the team but focuses on his physical attraction to WW...
it all seems like a step backward from where we were with Wonder Woman earlier in the year.
Did the same female reviewer have an issue with naked Steve Trevor in the hot springs during Wonder Woman? The shirtless Jason Mamoa walking slow-mo? Shirtless Henry Cavel in all of his movies? If she isn't getting upset at the objectification of these males characters, then I find her disingenuous. If she does have issues with those scenes, then props to her, but I still really don't see the issue other than the fact that all 3 of them make me feel bad about the way I look--but that is my problem.
