I was just wondering why Reggie was limited in his playing time last week....don't know if its already been addressed....thanks guys

Resting his injury problems, need him fresh as possible for the 'yoffs.

Atlanta was a pushover, so we could afford to not use him.

It was reported on one of the local sports cast that Reggie wasn't going to play if Aaron Stecker wasn't injured. Reports have it he was in coach Payton's dog house, because he was late to a team meeting or something.

the offense flowed better w/o Bush

I don't know, the offense flowed nicely because of a hailmary at the end of the half. When things are going your way like that its hard to lose.

He was running much better than Deuce in that game so I was wondering the same thing...

Agreed. As long as Reggie continues to run like he has in the last three games, he should get just as many or almost as many carries as Deuce. Just use Reggie in different situations to make the offense more dynamic and effective, imho.

I believe our winning formula includes pounding the ball with Deuce and use Reggie as a reciever and change of pace running back.

Reggie is the perfect fit for Coach Payton and Drew Brees. There is a reason he is leading rookies in receptions. With Brees' quick reads, if there is nothing down the field, he is more than comfortable dropping it off to Reggie. When was the last time you have seen a running back with the ability to catch passes one handed? This helps reposition the Defense to be aware of Bush, opening up zones for Brees to find one of our many talented receivers. If the Defense doesn't respect Bush, he picks up 10 or 12 yards consistently in the passing game by outrunning the LB to the outside.

Now he is learning the Pro running game. He is no Barry Sanders, but he is getting better and better each game. Soon, everything will start slowing down for him and he will be able to produce like he did at USC.

These dump off passes have been hell to defend against. He might not be making Rookie of the Year stats, but he is sure playing the role of one.

NO PLAYER IS ABOVE THE TEAM!!!

The offense flowed like dry clay through all of the 3rd quarter and halfway into the 4th.

It looks like Reggie is starting to run upfield more often and taking what defense gives him. Looks like progress to me.

Deuce brings balance to the Offense and forces opposing teams to respect the run. We've all heard the Niners want to make the Saints O one dimensional this weekend (hey it worked for Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals). But when Deuce is on the field they have to respect the run. If Deuce can run against the Niners 8 in the box that'll break their backs. If the Saints abandon the run like they have in the past expect the Niners to blitz Brees. They want to force him into making a mistake and hit him as often as possible. If the Saints want to finish the season strong they need to establish the run with Deuce. If that means less touches for RB then so be it........
