2018 LSU Recruiting Thread (1 Viewer)

Talked to a few folks last night that indicated that today would not be reason for celebration for LSU fans. Not sure if that meant Surtain or Goodrich or other but I sensed it meant only that Surtain would sign elsewhere. I didn’t think it could mean multiple disappointments.
That might be the case...

Bama missing out on a couple big commits early this AM.

LSU screwed the pooch on Goodrich. They strung him out.
Surtain is heartbreaking. Spent a lot of time and money recruiting him for 2 years. He has strong Louisiana ties too. Saban swoops in and boom, we LOSE him. If his dad gets hired there, Shame on them but LSU could have done that.

No corners, qb or running back.

Just a shame

Jimbo’s presence in the West is being felt. He’s flipping guys from Bama to TAMU.

This is not a good thing

Jeez. UGA sign 5-star #35, CB Tyson Campbell to UGA.

Uga has an insane class

And its now official on surtain.... bama

PS2 to Bama.

They win championships, and I want to be a part of that,...
Let the meltdown begin...

That one hurts. 3 years invested, no other CBs offered, LSU goes all in. It's more than just losing out on a talented kid. It's a setback to the program. Thisn would be like LSU losing out on Fournette. If LSU can't count on signing a kid with family ties at the one position they're known to produce the best talent, then we might be looking at the beginning of the end.

The beginning of the end was hiring a glorified assistant coach as the Head Coach. This program is done for the foreseeable future. No chance at all with the way TAMU is recruiting along with BAMA and teams like Auburn in the same division.

LSU is officially a bottom feeder when it comes to college football in the SEC. You won't see them playing for a national championship or even in the playoff for the next 5-10 years and it's all because of Ed O. He is a dud no matter where he coaches. We should be happy with 8-9 win seasons at this point.

reminds me of UT after Fulmer.

We are definitely on the downside of a bell curve.

question is, where is the baseline now?

I've been saying this since the thought of hiring him was brought up. I was not, will not and will never be a fan of CEO hire. The day he was hired LSU football was killed.
