IIRC, Morten kicked the game winning FG the first time we played the Falcons after he left. I was so mad I had to leave the house, went to the driving range and hit some of the longest drives I ever hit, lol.

Bobby Hebert. He was our QB, and I was a kid.

Now I’m like: “Take him back, please.”

Definitely Sam Mills. Every time that I see his statue at the Panthers stadium it stings a bit. It says loud and clear that the Dome Patrol ended too soon and too badly.

Black Moses. Hands down. That was the most inexplicable defection in the history of sports. Name one other super fan who changed allegiances to the arch enemy.

Meh.

Moving to Atlanta is one thing; many members here have had to move to or stay in Atlanta for long periods of time due to work commitments.

Willingly wearing Falcons colors and going to Falcons games with the same gimmick he had here is entirely another. He chose to lie in that bed. That’s treason.

Definitely sorry to hear he has had health problems previously though and glad to hear his condition has improved.

Andersen. And not close. We allowed a future HOF player to leave. Stupid move by the organization.

When he left, Hebert was past his prime. And yes, he made it personal and embraced the Falcons. How he was able to return and claim leadership in his self-proclaimed Who Dat Nation remains to me a mystery. An interesting word, which I just had occasion to look up, is kakistocracy. If that word somehow can be applied to the media, Hebert would be the poster child.

I moved to Atlanta 4 years ago. That's no excuse. They don't make you switch teams. Especially Falcons fans, they are such a milquetoast fanbase.

Sounds like wearing the costume is more important than being a fan of a team. It's a nice gag but rooting for the Falcons just to wear it? Nope...not in a million years. That excuse is just lame. And the reference doesn't even make sense anymore! Moses and birds??? We didn't lose much in the fan department with this defection. Biblical characters still make more sense on a Saints sideline.

It seems like the Andersen moved mentally messed with us so much that we forgot to spell his name correctly.

Sam Mills to Carolina bothered me more than all the Atlanta defections combined.
Wasn't the Sam Mills thing forced by the NFL, I think that it allowed the Expansion Teams to choose from the best players on all teams. Correct me if I'm wrong.
