Aside from last week's pick, he's invisible. I only see him making tackles after 50 yard gains. Shouldn't he be helping over the top against overmatched CBs? In fact all of the safeties are invisible.

I don't watch film, so maybe someone can tell me I'm crazy, but we thought after the offseason and camp he'd be balling out. Brees even invoked "Ed Reed" in reference. I'm just not seeing it.

I hate to agree with you, but I agree with you...

I don't remember any pass breakups by Marcus Williams this year. As you say, other than the huge pick, he has been invisible.

He’s having to do way too much. Crawley and PJ are getting beat all over the place. What’s more perplexing is what DA is doing? At this point Lattimore needs to be on the #2 (single-coverage) and Crawley needs to be on the #1 with safety help. That’s our only chance currently.

Aaron Glenn needs to get these guys playing or else he's gonna have to suit up himself

I agree also. The PI could have been called on him or PJ. Not to mention the one the ref didn't see because he was out of position. Plus I hate it when he flies in and throws his back into a tackle with no intent of wrapping up, didn't he learn his lesson.

Invisible? Not true. After the WR gets behind him, he's always seen drawing a PI call (sarcasm).

MW's job is to make up for the deficiencies by the CB's..

There have been so many that no one man can do it

Malcolm Jenkins couldn't get picks in our defense, then goes to Philly and gets a bunch. Byrd was an INT magnet, than comes here and gets none. Eventually we are going to have to start blaming the defensive scheme for safeties not being able to impact passing plays.

No excuses for him. He absolutely has ZERO clue on how to attack from the proper angle. He takes horrible angles; both on tackling and on his attempt in pass coverage. I honestly do not understand what Hebert, Garic and Detiller saw in him during training camp, while he was in shells. Show me on the field, during a game. He is simply a morning glory/practice player. Not fan at all of his ability to play the position well.

There is a lot of truth to this, IMO.

Again this week, I seldom saw Marcus in the same picture frame as the WRs on long receptions. I would feel much better if he was just in the picture.
