It's the premiere of Season 9 - the long awaited season in which Rick meets his maker (apparently). I'm thinking this is gonna be a "make or break" season. They could either stick to the same rut and perish or they could freshen things up. I'm thinking the former.

Hopefully it becomes more than The Walking Sunk Cost Fallacy. I want to it be better, but it’s still just good enough to hold me considering how much time I’ve already invested.

I cant stop watching either. I have too much time invested. I did think last nights episode was pretty good. A couple stupid things of course but beyond that was good. Maggie of course is working on taking over and I have no issues at all with more Maggie.

It's called the sunk cost fallacy.

I was able to quit, and am so glad that I did. No regrets!

The only thing that can save this show is if Aliens show up to cleanse the dead from the Earth.

And then the Colonial Marines come in and fight the Aliens. That would be cool.

So they just stroll into DC to get seeds and a plow ... but never thought to see if anything is left of the government. Also, we just gonna forget about that friggen helicopter that came to get the trash lady?

I imagine the helicopter people will come up again later. At least, it better show up again.

I think that Rick will be seriously injured by the whispers and the helicopter will take him away for aid. Thus the colony story line; plus Rick will get his time off and return later in the show.

Based on how far down I had to scroll to find this thread, it would appear that everyone is pretty much through with this. They even took it out of prime time here in NZ. Came on at 10:30 pm Monday night vs last year in the 9 pm prime slot.

are they going with the whisperer story line? i thought they were pretty well going away from the comics with this season.

Everything you read states that the whispers story line will happen. Like to see how they do it without Dwight and Carl not in the picture.
