Is Tre’Quan faster than Ted Ginn ? Also, what do you think of the possibility of this team offense surpassing the 2011 team ?

How is he faster? My eyes might be deceiving me but Ginn out in the open field seems to be faster

You are going to need to offer more parameters if you are going to accurately compare the 2 players, especially a vet vs a rookie. Not only athletic ability, but mental fitness and intangibles come into play with each personnel member.

According to the reports I remermber from camp, Ginn is still the fastest guy on the team. Pretty amazing that he's still as fast as he is at 33. He seems to be adjusting his game too for when he does lose that half step that makes him the burner he is, similar to Devery at the end of his career.

Keep in mind that when Ginn is on the field, defenses are paying attention to him knowing that they cannot let him get behind their defense. Smith is a bit of an unknown for opposing defenses right now so he will probably get less attention down the field.

If Ginn was in on the play where Norman busted his coverage, I don't think he would have allow Ginn to get behind him. This is good as it makes our offense harder to defend.

Ginn is faster and knows more of the offense. TQS gets open better and has better hands.

Pick 'em.

WRONG: the fastest guy on the field is Taysom Hill. No one wants to race him.

Remember TQS has the long speed.
Meaning he doesn't get up to full speed as fast as Ginn.
You would have to measure them both with a radar gun at full speed to answer that question.
Ginn has a faster 40 time but that doesn't mean he is faster at full speed.

That's absolutely true. I think Ingram had the highest measured speed on a run at some point in the season last year and he's not a 4.3 guy at all. I doubt he finished the year without someone passing him, but I definitely remember them showing the graphic of it when it happened.

Man this team is aboslutely loaded at WR when Ginn gets back. I truly doubt we have one of those games where our WRs cannot get separation.

Darrell Green was the fastest man in football until he was like 40 yrs old. I realize Green is an exception, but still... no telling how long Ginn will maintain his speed. It isn't Ginn's speed that worries most of us... it's his inconsistency at hanging on to passes and kicks/punts.
