Can we beat the Rams? (1 Viewer)

The Ravens were the #1 defense and #4 offense in the league going into the game yesterday. We walked out of their stadium with a W.

We can beat the Rams, especially in the Dome.

At home... sure we can... will we....? Depends on which Saints defense shows up in specific parts of the game.

If you think the Vikings are on the Redskins, or especially the Ravens level, you're stuck in 2017.
Since we got to play them on SNF... You may want to redact that

The Rams scare me because of the big plays they are capable of through the air. We are struggling to defend that right now. We can certainly win this game but our inability to stop the 2 minute drill is scary.

That being said, we can score on the Rams. We can score on anybody.

Our strengths really lend well to us beating them. Everything goes through Gurley and our D has been lights out against the run.

I also don't feel their run D is good. We will find out.

Have the Rams beaten any team on the Redskins or Ravens level?

There are 3 teams that for sure will be fighting for the #1 draft pick. The Rams have played all 3 in the first 7 weeks of the season. If not for those teams, their largest margin of victory is 12 points. Their signature victory is at home against the Vikings. A team going through lots of issues this year.

Imo the best team in the league is in either New Orleans or Kansas City. So, the answer to this question is obvious.

Rams 7-0 have beaten

Raiders 1-5
Cardinals 1-6
Chargers 5-2
Vikings 4-2
Seahawks 3-3
Broncos 3-4
49ers 1-6

Saints 5-1 have beaten (or not)

Bucs 3-3 (L)
Browns 2-4
Falcons 2-4
Giants 1-5
Redskins 4-2
Ravens 4-3

Rams have a better defense. RB and WR are more or less a wash. QB and experience is Saints' advantage.

Number of possessions will be key in this game. If the Rams D gets them extra possession then it will be tough for Saints.

Their Run def isn’t good. Suh was mocking the dolphins run defense earlier this year, and someone on NFL Network called him out on it.

I think we see a lot of Hill for that reason. A few runs up the gut will kill them.

I’m pretty sure with about 70% of their current roster when they last came here, even Willie Snead was throwing TDs.

Rams defense isn't as great as it was expected to be .... people say that Talib is out ... well Talib isn't playing to the level at which he played in 2015 with the broncos .... their Dline which was supposed to be legendary is giving up a lot of runs ... the seahawks with a porous Oline were able to run for 100+ on them .... and our run defense is the best in the league ... so if we can contain Todd Gurley and make them one dimensional, I think we can win this easily ....
