***Official Saints @ Buccaneers Game Day Thread*** (2 Viewers)

I am extremely happy we won. But can someone explain to me why we looked so SLUGGISH early on? Is T. Armstead that big of a difference? Real question.
I know the ten days off helps injuries, but it may throw the team out of sync going that long. Hope not, because they are more than likely getting a first round bye.

The offense stunk too. That doesn't mean the defense played their "arse off". How you explain the costly PI penalties, poor tackling and costly third down giveaways? You can't.

Come back in here and eat your crow regarding the defense kiddo

I may be wrong but this is the third time this season the NFC South is 1-3 in any given week...............and isn't it great that in every instance it's the Saints with the 1 and the rest of the division with the 3!!!!...............(y)

Dunno.

It was such a mystery.,

The team for 6 quarters LOOKED listless, awkward, deflated, no energy. Like a fog descended on them in a way I have never seen unless there was something strange and distractiong going on with the team.

Then BOOM.

No. Bushrod is fine. It’s play calling. Payton woke up after that blocked punt.

No , I don't.

The defense is good. They've done enough to at least be called good.

You were in this thread putting more energy into being hyped that your argument was looking right than to actually cheering for the team is my beef. Yet you had ZERO posts during the comeback. Fans like you get more energized to come on here and say I told you so than to want to come on here and cheer on when we are looking good. I don't like it, but I get it. Every fan base has those types.

"They've done enough to be called good."

There are so many things wrong in your post.

1. I called them average. That's top 15. That's between 13-17 ranked defense. So, I am being negative for calling the defense top 15 (average)? I'm so confused, because your, "they've done enough to be called good" is in agreement to my "they are average (top 15)" comment.

2. Making sly comments about me going to the gym---Sorry, bud. I can't today. I am in medical school, and I have a practical to study for. If anything, you should be even more proud of fans that's willing to put the Saints game first over their future career.

3. When did we even start talking about the defense to begin with--You originally made a reply to my, "they are playing with no energy" comment. I was referring to our offense. Guess what? At that time, they were playing with no energy. I was just making an observation...You just ASSUMDED I was talking about the defense for some reason.

Just recall how many times the defensive end came around from Armstead's side to catch our runner in the backfield, and then ask yourself that question again.

I'll go with that. I am just so happy we won, we are now officially in the playoffs and can rest a bit easy. I'll take the "W", each and every time. There is no such thing as an ugly W (minus injuries). Because the win is the thing. I don't care how bad we look through the entire game as LONG as when the clock hits 0:00 at the end of the 4th we have at least 1 more point than our opponent.

1. Last five games they have been better than average. But that's not my beef. I don't mind if people consider them average. I even told another poster in here average is all we need from this D (well, assuming our offense actually gets it going again for the stretch run).

2. I wish you the best on your practical. Seriously. Good luck.

3. I just quoted that post cuz it was the first one I could track from you.

It looked like Bushrod just could NOT get in front of his man, like he was a turnstyle and I don't understand it.
