My first nominee is John Goodman. When trying to decide where his claim to fame is, I truly can't find a place to land. Dan Connor to Walter Sobchak and beyond. I haven't seen his entire filmography; but everything I HAVE seen him in, I pretty much remember.

CLOONEY! Yes, good one. Also a "Roseanne" alum like Goodman (can't think of anything either of them have been in with Kevin Bacon, though). Seems pretty much the same level of celebrity whether he's doing TV or film

Her? ™ Arrested Development. Think of her more as TV now. Feels like she's burned some bridges.

But how about ...

Kristen Bell? She seems to be able to go back and forth pretty easily.

She had a pretty solid run of movies that did well. Knocked Up, 27 Dress off the top of my head
She did but those are 10 years ago now. Feels like she's solidly back in TV rather than being able to go back and forth.

I think Steve Carell is really talented - he can do great work in all sorts of situations and formats.

Oliver Platt
Good one since I didn't explicitly say star. John Goodman might not be "major movie star", but I would say he's a little less "hey, it's THAT guy" character actor than Oliver Platt (though has had memorable turns in both media).

It's interesting how many you can come up with once you start thinking.
