Bob Stoops Hired to Coach XFL Team, Be GM (1 Viewer)

Seems like a fun league. I don’t think it was given much of a chance the first time.

Vince is the main problem. As long as he’s associated with it, the League will most likely fail.

Which is why I'm anxiously awaiting the AAF this weekend. I hope their product is not disappointing.

Well that's weird but happy for him. I know it pains him not to be coaching.

When Jesse Ventura was put in a football broadcast booth... you knew it wasn't going to be taken seriously

I hope he's learned from his mistakes b/c the XFL actually had some innovative ideas that are now used all throughout football and sports today.

I actually liked the XFL (the first time around)..... Never took it as seriously as the NFL, but it was a good entertainment.... I too didn't think they gave it enough time to really catch on (I think it would have succeeded, if they did allow more time).

My money is on the AAF being the successful one. It is being run by football people that know how to run a league. They also have a relationship with the NFL via their tv deal with their network. Don’t underestimate that.

Yep, I noticed that when I was looking at the TV schedule. Their TV schedule will definitely give them good exposure over the next few weeks. I'm going to try to watch all of the games this weekend.

I guess I'll root for Birmingham.

Edit: Make that Memphis. :hihi:
