Underhill tweet: David Onyemata arrested for possession of marijuana (2/7/2019) (6 Viewers)

Seems odd that someone "tipped them off" and they thought it important enough to get a warrant to search a guy's personal apartment. He was not driving under the influence or attempting to sell. I wonder why the police bothered with this unless they were concerned that he could have had large enough quantities to distribute.

"Let's sprinkle some crack on him and get out of here."

it may not even have been his. Maybe some girl left it there and called the cops. Who knows.

because you have a bunch of religious holier than thou folks who consider it the "Debils lettuce" and that its a gateway drug.

I cant wait til im 65 and those codgers are long gone.[/QUO

And when you are 65, there will a lot of youngsters hoping you are long gone, lol.

So what was in the package? My guess is a custom-made bong with goodell clown face on it.

The narcotics detectives who executed a search warrant at the Elmwood apartment of New Orleans Saints defensive lineman David Onyemata did so based on a package seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Buffalo, N.Y., on Jan. 28, according to a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office report.

Seems like I read the nfl was going to remove weed from ban substances in the next contract with player union

If so this may not be a big deal

Regardless of state law it’s the nfl is where the issue is, a failed test (or 2) is the standard for punishment not the law

See MI

Be funny if if turns out not to be marijuana at all. For instance, they mention hemp powder. I have some in my fridge right now I got from Vitacost. That's not illegal.

I'd like to know more about the situation. Is it that easy to get a search warrant there? Doesn't a judge have to sign off on it based off significant cause or intel?

And, I never got into weed like my friends. The buzz was okay, but not worth the risk and I didn't care to smoke anything. But, if I were an athlete dealing with injuries and pain, I'd opt for something like cannabis before getting hooked on some pharma opiates. That Turley article posted a while back was an eye-opener.
