My guess for first Saints game(season opener) (1 Viewer)

the NFL next season, they may want the Bears and Packers (the oldest two teams in the NFL)

not quite correct. The oldest team in the NFL is the Arizona Cardinals (founded in 1898, are a founding NFL franchise). The Bears are the second oldest team, (founded 1920, are a founding NFL franchise).

The Cardinals and Bears are the only two founding franchises left in the NFL. They were founded before the Bears though, in 1919 but The Packers did not join the NFL until 1921.

Ah, you're right, I misunderstood the reason. Apparently, the Bears/Packers have the oldest rivalry in the NFL.

Typically, one of the two Super Bowl participants plays in the opening game of each NFL season. However, 2019 is the NFL's 100th season season, and the Bears-Packers rivlary is the league's oldest.
