*Side question...Taking away ALL homerism and bias, I'm genuinely curious who do yall think is a better running back in the long run: Ingram or Hunt?

Hunt has the better potential long term provided he’s allowed to play. Barring a huge change in locker room philosophy though it’s a moot point. We got rid of Galette for something very similar and sure you can argue Galette wasn’t to OLB/Edge what Hunt is to RB but I just don’t see the Saints bringing in a player with that hanging over his head. I’m not aware of him being considered a locker room cancer or anything before this came out but at the end of the day it’s not something that everyone is going to be willing to forget and that includes guys already on the team.

Tight end has been a huge need for years.

The 2018 off-season was not good. Too little to show for the draft. Davis was an A plus signing. But Meredith and Coleman were mistakes.

TE is far and away the most obvious need
mostly b/c everything else is an unknown
it's possible #2 & 3 receiver are on the roster
Oline depth might be on the roster
we don't really know what the DT needs are atm
we don't even know what's going on with bridgewater

if you're only giving me one card to play and I have to play it right now, it's got to be for a TE

O=Line has to be priority #1. Our O-Line wore down and broke down at the end of the season. Our Left Tackle and Left Guard are both injury-prone, and our Left Guard plays soft even when healthy. And its not just about protecting our Hall of Fame Quarterback; just imagine how harder it is for the refs to call a game against us if we would have had a running game.

All those other needs are valid and true (including the unfortunate sudden need for Defensive Tackle), but O-Line has to be priority 1, especially if we re-sign Ingram.

I'd rather keep Ingram another 2 or 3 years and bring along another young back to learn the ropes with Ingram and Kamara leading the way. Our 2 RBs are tight and a new RB could learn a lot from them imo.

The Saints should have been coming off a season where they were playing for the Lombardi trophy. We all know that. Unfortunately, we also know why it didn't happen. Going forward though what is the most important offseason move that you guys feel will keep the Saints Super Bowl window open?

With Rankins hurt and Onyemata probably suspended for more than a couple games, DT moves to the top of the list now.

I agree, I'm not nearly as concerned with the WR position as I am with TE. With Meredith and Thomas leading the way, Ginn being back healthy, we could for a wr in the later rounds to learn the ropes. I'd like our high draft picks to focus on shoring up our offensive line. We struggled with depth a bit late in the season, and I think there's room to improve.

Also, with the mess we have, at least early on next season, in the defensive line, will need to watch that closely.

He had 66 catches, 888 yards and 4 TDs before his injury and subsequent surgery. That's not too shabby. I wouldn't exactly call that a redshirt year. With a year under his belt and if his surgery and rehab goes well, I think he'll be good to go. I guess we'll see though.

Defensive line has become the off season priority. Down possibly 3 tackles and a end. I don't see the Saints spending much capitol on a WR as there are plenty on the roster already, TE maybe. Also more depth on the offensive line as they wore down toward the end of the season. The team doesn't have much off season capitol to work with between the draft and monies under the cap so they will have to be judicious.

I think our biggest concern is the pass defense and deep ball defense. It's one thing holding back the defense from being elite.


Would like to cut Coleman and bring in Earl Thomas on a 1 year deal.

Rankins and Davenport - Surgery (sometimes have to deal with setbacks)
Okafor and Davison - Free Agents
Onyemata - may deal with suspension
