N/S: Antonio Brown telling Steelers fans farewell? (1 Viewer)

No way we are even in the discussion.

But man oh man if we were. Dree Brees throwing to Michael Thomas and Antonio Brown with Kamara and Ingram out the backfield? Not to mention Ginn. We could in effect beat any team's #'s 1, 2 , and 3 corners straight up, hold their LBs, and SS, and work the dogmess out of their FS om every play.

Payton wouldnt even have to scheme mismatches as they would naturally occur everywhere all game long.

This is why we have a Salary cap folks.

Exactly what I was thinking when I posted this. But it has a very expensive price tag.

AB to the Panthers is being suggested? IDK... Not sure that locker room is big enough for two heads.

Would be interesting to see if AB (who is an elite WR) could extend his catch radius another 5 or 6 feet in all directions to be able to catch the kind of passes Cam throws.

I think AB's going to the Raiders. OAK/LV has a ton of ammo to make that trade.

Can you imagine if Gruden sniped both AB and LeVeon Bell? That would be the kind of superstar-coupe that gets their faithful fanbase excited.

....wait, never mind. lol

I would be very surprised just based on how Gruden got rid of anybody with an attitude.
He's trying to establish a culture there (though I think he went overboard). Problem with what he is doing vs what Payton did his first season is, he's not winning games.
Sean came in and completely gutted the team and got rid of anyone with attitude problems, then made it to the NFC champ game that year.

Not sure Gruden is capable, but that's a topic for another thread.......:covri::grin:

I remember the Philadelphia 'Dream Team' and how that ended up. Paper tigers don't have real claws.

Ya, Bell and AB w/Carr...that would crazy! But something tells me Gruden and Mark Davis would screw it up somehow.

Truth is. They sorta owe it to Carr. I mean, they take away all his real weapons, the best player on defense, and let him get sacked 70 times a season with their crap oline. They really should throw him a couple bones.

Hellye! Help that poor man out! That O has zero skill players. It says alot when Jarred Cook, a career journeyman, was your best playmaker. Carr is a legit franchise QB & Gruden tanked the season w/all those bungling moves he made iut the gate. That team was a playoff contender a few years back, now theyre in a full on rebuild. From the outside looking in, it seems like the Raiders are more concerned about everything else, other than actually winning. But on that note, landing AB or Bell or both, would erase alot of of those bonehead moves.

But we are not paper tigers. A team like Atlanta Falcons are the paper tigers.
Nope, not what I'm trying to say. Teams that look good on paper rarely turn out like you expect in real life. Example: Philadelphia.

Anyway, makes no difference. We aren't in that market, we pay no more than one top WR and we have this guy called Michael Thomas.

I think Philly won a SB?

Brown couldn't get along with Rothlisberger, and he's a competent QB.

Antonio would lose his shirt on Cam Newton.

But if you ask me would I like to see A.B. in Carolina? Nope.
