Wasn't this the night we all took the photo in front of the Cats Meow webcam so everyone could see us? lol

This is Ray Patron and his wife Linda, Ray died 5 years ago. He was on the Saints Fan Advisory Board and lived up here in Monroe and could always be found at Enoch's Pub at 5pm. We used to pass each other all the time on I-55 heading to/from Saints games and laugh and wave at each other.

Hey andrus,

This thread got me thinking

Do you know how many total members Saintsreport has had?

How many threads? How many posts?

Top 10 posters by # of posts?

When is SR’s anniversary?

The Florida man thread on EE got me thinking, maybe ask for and compile everyone’s birthday and then have something appear daily , Today’s member birthdays

Been over 20 years for me and it’s very rare that a day goes by that I don’t come at least once

And since I got a smartphone whenever I have a few spare minutes during the day I usually pop in

The day Drew Brees retires will be a hard day

The day Sean Payton stops being the coach will be a hard day

But if the day ever comes (and I truly hope it never does) that you say you’re shutting down SR that would be the hardest day

Thanks again for all you and the mods do

A bunch of photos from 2006 SR.com bar crawl in the French Quarter including 504girl, hammernnails, brennan77, joeokc, and others.

I remember the ‘06 crawl, and the party at “Rock N Bowl.” Sure is sad about Hammernnails, he was a great guy. I was looking through these pics and then was surprised to see myself in the very last one. Anyone know who I’m taking with? (I’m the guy in the white cap.)
Let's see how many I can get right...

Very sorry to hear about Ray. I had no idea that he had passed. :(

I miss the brothers that did the old GM league here back in the day, WeatherNLU being one of them -- can't remember the other handle! That was back when I was in high school -- wow this thread makes me feel old thinking all the way back to some of the old handles and posts!

I'm still here. I'm ridiculously busy these days but I follow along as best I can.

Andrus filled me in on Eaux-Yeah some months ago, but some others from the "alt-os" thread in the tech boards;

Jekylz Hyde
llama (still says "very banned" still don't know what he did")

You can see at the bottom of the pages here that there have been 351,948 threads and 7,259,792 posts since 2006. I can't give you accurate figures prior to that, though I remember that there was appx 2.1 million posts between 2003-2006.

Although I have that '03-'06 archive database saved, it was broken during the move when I tried to upgrade it. I will have to get that looked at soon so that I can get it back working. As far as between 1997 and 2003 goes, your guess is as good as mine. We went through several board platforms trying to find one that could handle our traffic.

There are currently 26,297 members. I've cleaned out about 15,000 that both never posted and hadn't been active for a long time. On the old platform I could keep count because each member had a number associated with their registration which increased by one upon each registration, and we were up well over 40K when we moved over to the current platform. Who knows how many more there were prior to 2003 that didn't register on the newer platform at the time? Not me!

Top 10 posters since 2003:
  1. Dan in Lafayette - 56,228 posts
  2. BoNcHiE - 54,599 posts
  3. MLU - 52,441 posts
  4. guidomerkinsrules - 48,519 posts
  5. Brennan77 - 45,881 posts
  6. DavidM - 45,047 posts
  7. antipop - 44962 posts
  8. superchuck500 - 44,536 posts
  9. Bulldawg (RIP) - 41,147 posts
  10. Saint_Ward - 40,856 posts
Officially the board went live August 1, 1997. The site first went up somewhere around April of 1997, I believe, and was called IronEra up until Ditka got fired. We then renamed it to SaintsReport.com However, we just call the anniversary August 1st since that is when we struck up the band. :)

I am pretty sure that it wouldn't be too difficult to get something done with birthdays. Will look at that.

@Optimus Prime

Click on Members > Registered and then click on the Birthday Calendar link in the lower navbar... I added a birthday calendar there for starters.
Or click on this link: https://saintsreport.com/birthdaycalendar/

Edit: Now Just click on members and you should see Birthday Calendar at the bottom of the drop down menu. This is on PC's/Laptops.

On smart phones click on the three hashes on the left if vertical, scroll down and select "members" and then select "Birthday Calendar".

A little perspective, and reminder of how old we're getting much sweeter it is to be a Saints fan today. :hihi: 1999. Look hard to find the W's. :covri:
