I hate to be a killjoy (2 Viewers)

Could be worse... Could've been a Greyjoy.

I'm with the majority of you, probably won't watch day 1 of the draft, we don't really have the assets to move up very much, and I'm not really feeling it this year...

We overcame a hurricane, We overcame the Minnesota stupid miracle, We shall overcome the clown.

They don’t want to put Brees in a stupid pic . Fine. We will just fly under radar again.

I woke up this am wondering when the draft is this year. Partially because we have very few picks and mostly because I haven't watched a like of football since the debacle.

I know exactly how ya feel. I’m over it though. Way I look at it is the Saints had a legit shot at the last 2 Super Bowls but fate stepped in each time with some ridiculous fluke play. The team is IMO the most talented in the league. That combined with GREAT coaching, a win at all costs mentality for Brees’ last year, and all that extra motivation thanks to those flukes, and we might be about to witness the most dominant season the NFL has ever seen. We’ve got blue chip talent at every position and gold chip talent starting at arguably 10 of 24 positions (counting kickers).

Brees, Kamara, MT, Ram and Armstead, Cam, Dav, Demario Davis, Lattimore, and Morestead. With several blue chippers with Gold potential (Marcus Williams, Anzalone, Rankins, Cook). The greatest offensive mind calling plays. A defense that’s a lot better than it gets credit for, has shut out potential.

Man if we didn’t even have 1 pick in the draft I’d be completely ecstatic about the season. There’s gonna be a steal there at 62 I can almost guarantee it. Then in the later rounds add depth to LB, Secondary , OL, and TE.

Cherry on top baby!

P.S. - We do have a 2nd round pick #62
It wasn't all flukes.

There was incompetence and/or bias in the refs in key games (Dallas and NFCCG) that made a difference.

But the reality, as others have posted, was that the team was not as dominant, just not as good toward the end of the year, particularly on offense. All the reasons have been discussed, but we couldn't pull away and overwhelm or nullify the biased officiating.

I think an underrated no call was the targeting shot to the head on Josh Hill in the 1st quarter. We were struggling as it was with a healthy Hill for finding targets other than Michael Thomas, plus Hill is a decent blocker. Putting him out of the game made things a hair tougher, and it looked pretty deliberate the way the LB running alongside him left his feet and launched the crown of his helmet into the side of Hill's helmet.

Then in OT the hands to Brees' face should have been 15 yards and fresh set of downs, not an INT the became the difference in the game.

You have to go out of your way to exclude Brees from something like that.

It's over and over and it's not being over-sensitive looking for respect. It's blatant, in your face disrespect from the League at the top. The victors write the history and they go out of their way to write Brees into the margins.

Or we can't see Brees because he's all the way at the front, closest to the throne, but he's too short to be seen over Garropolo and Trubitzky.

So we’re in agreement here. The fluke was that 4/7 of the refs had a bias for the Rams in that game and subconsciously altered the game. That’s a damn fluke

Right! They can "forget" to add Brees, but remember to add Brady's rings on his fingers and Rodgers' belt around his shoulder? Damn SAD!

I know you are being optimistic & looking at the bright side for which I applaud your effort. But in reality, this team is in a mini rebuilding mode. New tight end, new center, different running back, Okafor gone. WE are having to make changes with the toughest schedule for my money in the league. And you can rest assured the officials will give us zero. zeeero breaks in any 50/50 call the whole season. They know this wasn't just some slander. This was corruption at its core from the NFL league office all the way down to the field. I just can't get my spirit up when these things continually hit me in the face. I'll still pull for Drew & hope he breaks the touchdown record. But really, what are the chances this corrupt league will ever give New Orleans another shot at the big game? About as good as me picking the winning powerball Wednesday.

I agree with the vicious helmet to helmet no call on Littleton nailing Hill. He also did the same thing to Kamara & didn't get called just like the guy who nailed Kamara in the Dallas game. This helmet to helmet charade is just another way of the refs picking who they want to have an advantage & who they don't. the thing about corruption is they don't have to win all the time with it, just the majority of the time.

Rebuilding mode!?! Dude relax we’re not in rebuilding mode.

I hate what happened. I'm not sure if it was incompetence or malicious but the league has shown clear bias against us and towards other teams many times.

I'm not being a homer, cause I've seen times where it looked like they wanted us to get the win. Or maybe that they just needed our opponent to lose.
It's gotten to the point where in some games you can really tell who they want to win. It might not always work the way the way they want it to, but it still feels like they're trying to control the outcome.

As sick as it makes me, Brees isn't going to play much longer so I plan to watch him while I can.
