Star Trek Picard (1 Viewer)

... So for those that "won't get it" you can cancel you netflix for a month and watch all the stuff you want on CBS all access, then cancel that and go get Hulu then watch that for a month and cancel that and get netflix catch up on all that, then cancel.. can get all access... etc etc etc

there really isn't enough steady content to be beholden to any one streaming service.

I was thinking the same thing. Discovery was not enough for me to pay for CBS All Access but Discovery and Picard is probably enough for awhile.

When is Picard supposed to premier? Can you stream the whole season at once or does CBS only release the shows every week?
It releases every week, and is only available as an entire season after it is over. At least that's how it worked with Discovery.

I would expect that as these new streaming services roll out you're to see this model prevail over the "dump and binge" Netflix model. It keeps subscriptions retained longer and also keeps the shows alive in general discourse where the Netflix model does not.

on r/TheExpanse they were talking about the release of s4 and someone 'heard' that Amazon was releasing it weekly
most reponses seemed positive and they hoped for a serial release bc they preferred to the weeklong discussions vs discussing as a means to take a break from binging
i tend to agree

As long as they don't move to a yearly subscription model, I'm good. If they don't dump all episodes at one time, I'll just wait to the end of the season and then buy a month's subscription.

They didn't dump any discovery episodes.

This is what I've been doing. I actually by the pre paid gift cards for each service that way I don't forget to cancel my subscription. I figure out which series I'm interested in watching, find out which streaming service its on and get just that one service. For example last month I bought a $15 prepaid card for Netflix just to watch the new season of Stranger Things. I plan on doing the same thing with Star Trek: Picard.

I don't have Netflix, because there isn't enough on their to warrant it, but I keep Hulu, as I do hulu live instead of cable.

Riker and Troi have confirmed they will make an appearance at some point during the 10 episode season.

I sure hope Frakes is ADMIRAL Riker and that we get to see the Titan. That would be awesome.
