Newly upgraded LSU Football Facility revealed (1 Viewer)

Amazing!
I hope this helps our passing game.

It should. This is the kind of thing that will push a recruit over the edge to choose LSU, including those elite QBs and OTs that LSU seems to miss on.
I'm ready! :9:

I have heard some things from Greg Stringfellow and Jack Marucci on local BR radio that have not made it to the media yet about part of this renovation.
  1. Each position group now has their own meeting room.
  2. LSU has a first of its kind walkthrough facility.
  3. As you enter the locker room, the players leave their pads in a "mud room" that ventilates and sanitizes their shoulder pads.
  4. The water fountains have been replaced with PowerAde machines that allow players to create drinks with specific flavors, carbohydrates, electrolytes, etc. or just plain water.
  5. Players lounge with 6 video game consoles, cinema room, etc.
Marucci explained that they were going more for functionality than extravagances. Sure it looks good, but every part of the design and renovation has a purpose. They purposefully avoided waterfalls, TVs in every locker and slides that other programs used as gimmicks. The "sleeping pod" lockers cost only marginally more than the standard lockers used by schools like Bama and Texas with nowhere near the functionality. The open space between helmet locker and chair allows people to see through the room. Every player is given an iPad when they begin, so each locker is equipped with charger, mount on an arm, etc. I was more impressed with the thoughtfulness of everything than just the sheer newness of it.

Marucci also talked about the technology they use to treat players from injury recovery (experimental surgery with drastically reduced recovery time) to daily treatment (players take a pill that measures their core temperature that staff can monitor and track) to the customized nutrition and hydration each player is given. LSU pioneered the Football Operations Facility and once again they're innovating for others.

WoW talk about a recruiting tool especially if the parents have a say, will want their kids to be treated top notch and think they accomplished that
