Just remember what’s tomorrow (today) (1 Viewer)

Lefty here, although I must confess that there are a couple of very important things I do right handed

I think that across the broader population, the occurrence of left-handedness is between 10 and 15 percent.

I was taught by a lefty (my mother) and I don't do the wrist curl at all. My wrist position is straight, the same as "normal" people.

From the article I posted:

When Michael Salazar wrote that his “fourth grade teacher would force me to use my right hand to perform all of my school work” and that “if she caught me using my left hand, I was hit in the head with a dictionary,”

My mom was a lefty too and she had a teacher that would slap her hand with a ruler for writing left-handed.

I write with the wrist curl and even doctors would have a hard time reading my writing.

I gave my left hand plenty of opportunity to develop its skills but my right hand is just naturally talented I guess

I forgive you.

I was a switch hitter in baseball when I was younger and my right side was my power side.

It's all about hitting the home run.

Righty is also my go-to when with TP. I tore my right rotator cuff in my latest car wreck and trying to do that left handed after the surgery just sucked. My left hand got all uppity and indignant....thought it was too good to handle janitorial duties.

Or would that be janitorial doodies?

Yeah my mom said the teachers tried to make her do everything right handed.

Think about how forked up that is - it really wasn’t that long ago in America that being left handed wasn’t tolerated.

lefty here! right handers just dont understand the struggle.

note books in school having hte rings on the left side (one year i found some with them on the opposite, but they were the 5 star ones that were more pricey)
writing in pencil and/or pen and having the ink on your hand from writing over the ink
having desk in school with an armrest on the right side so the right handers can rest their arms while in school

ever had to sit next to someone htat was right handed at the table? elbows hit constantly.

do any of yall do stuff right handed rather than left (shoot pool, putt putt, bat)

are you left footed also?
I'm actually not quite sure how this happened but I learned to write right-handed but my natural inclination is to do just about everything else left-handed.

And it's worth noting I write "ok" left handed without much practice; that is to say, my handwriting is atrocious either way.

Left hander here. I do everything left: throw, eat, golf, and left foot dominant.
I had the lefty scissors in school, and curl my wrist when I write.

The worst were those tiny right handed desks in college. Try writing essays for an hour with no support for your hand and arm. Brutal.

Also my weed eater is built for a right hander. When I’m edging the guard is on the wrong side because I have it turned “backwards”. So all the rocks and debris fly right into my legs and cut me up. Had to invest in a good pair of protective goggles.

Remember, left handers are the only ones in their right minds!
