We need to get rid of P.J. Williams. I took Butler off and added Kirkwood, but I'm not sold on that. I kept Grayson, but he's iffy to me if we keep Harris too. I know people are going to jump on me for not including P.J Williams, and maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but he needs to go. Crawley does too. Without Rankins, Onyemata is easily our best DT. The DTs scare me a bit. I kept Ozigbo over Rodgers because he's better. I kept Derby over Mack because he's better - Derby is an excellent blocker - watch the tape.

Rankins is on I.R.

Ok, let me have it.

Why does PJ Williams need to go?

Well, he's slow and tries to make up for it by being uninstinctual... He can only play nickel in underneath coverage. When in space, he gets burned. He's not gotten any better, and he never will. He doesn't use his hands at the line to control receivers. He opens his hips too quickly all of the time and doesn't have the quickness or speed to make up for his bad fundamentals. I know some like him, but he's very average to below average imo.

I don't think they keep Derby. I tend to think Ozigbo is headed to the PS but he could stick.

I really disagree with your WRs. Butler is running with the 1s. He hasn't done it in a game but that means something. Grayson is short. Even Payton was lukewarm on praising him recently. He is headed to the PS. I am probably the only one, but I still think Sherels is our returner. He's proven. The rookie can go to the PS or IR stash. I don't think Ola makes it. He's not very good.

Carr may make it if they keep 6 WRs.

Get rid of Hood. We'll keep a 4th DE but I don't know who yet. Add Biegl. Remove Webster and add PJ Williams.

Did you watch Wes Horton in the first two preseason games? He's been excellent. He will make this team.

I'm not sold on Kirkwood or Butler, but I know neither of them play the slot, and one of the final WRs will be a slot guy (Carr, Grayson, Harris).

If people will watch the game again and key on Derby, they'll be impressed.

And I know people like P.J. Williams, I just don't know why.

So this is not so much a projection of the final 53 based off of training camp, preseason, historical evidence and thoughts about what coach will do.

It's just what you'd like to see happen because of who you personally like? There's not much room for commentary here if you know, and are telling us you know, that it's not based off of observation.

I'd love to see Grayson get more reps...

Well that's your opinion; I would disagree. After Patrick Robinson went down last year, PJ Williams was lights out covering the slot. That's his role and he's very good at it when everyone around him does their job. He doesn't have bad fundamentals. He doesn't open his hips too quickly "all the time" and he has both the speed and quickness required to play the position. Sounds like you just don't like him.

Butler makes the team, PJ make the team.

Butler will have to finish the preseason strong to make the roster or I think Payton and co. will try to sneak him on to the Practice Squad. The receivers “behind” him have made too strong a case to justify carrying him based on practices alone.

PJ Williams makes the roster. Hardee may jump ahead of him on the depth chart but he’ll make the roster.

- I think PJ Williams will make the team. Him and Patrick Robinson give the team depth for playing inside or at the boundary. I agree that Crawley may be gone. Too many pass interference penalties on him.

- Banjo is a Special Teams demon, but I am not sure this year it will be enough to make the team, specially with our two rookies.

- At running back, I think Rodgers makes the team as Kamara's backup. Washington and Ozigbo a similar players as Murray, only one of them will make the team.

- The battle at WR is very interesting, and I can see Humphrey as an option at the slot. Slot receiver can be big and tall if they are clutch on third downs. The most interesting thing may be that Smith may be passed by one or two of the young receivers. Smith to me, has not shown progression since the second half of the season.

- Finally, another interesting battle will be on the backup offensive linemen. Here flexibility is the name of the game. Eason has one. After that, I am really not sure.
