Yesterday's game vs the Chargers evidently added to our camp M*A*S*H unit.

"Craig, talking to the trainers, felt like he heard something pop," McAllister relayed. "So we'll have to see what his status is."
It's unlikely the public will learn much about these injuries, unless they indeed turn out to be serious enough to land a player on the team's injured reserve list.

With Anzalone already out with a mystery ding, losing Robertson for any length of time is a tough pill to swallow.

Add injuries to offensive lineman Michael Ola, Chris Clark, linebacker Vince Biegel, and defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. and suddenly we have a lengthy list of things fans hate most about August football; injuries.

Mario Edwards missing time would be a huge blow. He's slotted to be THE rotational guy on our interior and possibly even the edge of our defensive line.

I think I remember the announcers saying that Biegel's issue seemed to be cramps. Clark leaving on a cart wearing an air-cast pretty much sums it up for him. I believe Ola walked off the field without assistance.

Thing is... I don't recall Robertson or Edwards getting hurt during the game. Regardless, lets pray for a speedy recovery and health for the rest of our team the rest of the way.

This is a lot of injuries. The only plus is that it isn't any of our starters. Robertson and Edwards are obviously the biggest two on that list, though I like Biegel as well, but he's got a lot of competition to make the linebacking corps.

I don't remember Robertson or Edwards getting hurt either. Sure would be nice if the announcers would actually talk about the game being played on the field instead of trying to tell us the life story of no name players who will be trying out for the XFL once cuts are made. (Well, maybe not since those tryouts were in June, but you get my point.)

What makes these injuries worse, if any are in fact serious, is that it's at three positions where starters are already missing.

Edward's at DT where we are already missing Rankins.

Robertson and Biegel at LB where we're already missing Anzalone.

And double whammy on special teams where Robertson is not only a starter but a star and Biegel would likely be the next man up for that role.

You're right. I just meant it could be worse if say we lost Demario Davis and Trey Hendrickson/Marcus Davenport.

I agree that losing depth at positions where the starter is already injured is a big deal, especially on the DL, not as much at linebacker (hopefully) with the way Elliss showed up Sunday.

And Robertson and Edwards not being injured on a contact play could be terrible. Those injuries are usually ligaments that tear or partially tear.

Kiko Alonso reportedly on the “bubble” in Miami. He could back up every LB spot similar to Robertson, but he’s also a bit of a knucklehead.

August 19th, Players not seen at practice were:
Keith Kirkwood
Ted Ginn
Saquan Hampton
Marcus Sherels
Alex Anzalone
Craig Robertson
Thomas Morstead
Chris Clark
Mario Edwardsand
Geneo Grissom

Ozigbo wore red no contact jersey.
Alize Mack returned to practice.

It appears that there is definitely some truth to BB’s “sauces” about the Anzalone injury... hopefully it’s all true, and he’s back for Week 1.

What popped on robertson? Knee? I haven't seen what part of his body is injured.
