“I think Austin’s had a great camp. he continues to get better each day. I’m really developing a lot of confidence in him,” Brees said. “There are a lot of little subtle things he does well. At the end of day for a receiver, there is a timing and then there is a feel to everything.”

I just don't see it. Has he been tearing it up in practice or something? I think there are several WRs with much more potential we should be keeping over Carr.

I think Carr is 1 of those "security" players that Drew likes. Lance Moore, Colston, and Pierre were always on the same page with Drew. He always knew where they were, and would go to them in any situation. Carr is probably getting close to that level,

I agree with you 100%.

Carr, however, does have the experience advantage over UDFA rookies like Emmanuel Butler and Li'l Jordan Humphrey. Cyril Grayson, though not a rookie, is also interesting because of his speed.

Why is it we can't seem to get both size and speed in one package? Both Humphrey and Butler have the size, but not speed. I guess maybe because players with that combination are generally drafted.

We do. Dan Arnold.

Very true however those guys were money on 3rd down. I mean if you absolutely had to have a crucial play to keep the chains moving or 1st down, those were your guys.

I didn't see it all from Carr in 2018. Not a hater but he just hasn't produced in New Orleans.

Carr is liked by Payton and the coaching staff along with Brees, but that doesn't mean on cut own day he makes the team. I don't think he makes the team over Kirkwood who appear to be a better slot option...or Humphrey who has a better feel for the slot also.
