Is it me or does it seem like the secondary are not disciplined in the fact of keying on your assignment and not trying to make a play? Many times during the game I seen too many times where Houston WR's were released and nobody picked them up hence the receiver going 10 yards or more on a play. It's like they play 10 yards off the receiver and still end up getting burnt. Receivers were wide open. Idk. Got to be more disciplined

If you want a coach to blame, Dennis Allen often puts players in bad spots. No play call should ever expose PJ Williams to having to run down the field 50 yards singled on a WR with wheels.

If you want a player to blame, Marcus Williams continues to make mistakes in covering his assignment. On Hopkins long pass on the last drive, that was Cover 2. All Williams has to do is cover his half and be there for Lattimore over the top. Instead, he bit toward's Von Bell's half and gave up the deep coverage. There's no excuse for that. In no situation is Williams supposed to do anything but cover his half.

Right I get it. Stick to your assignment. I feel like the guys try to do too much and end up paying for it at times. Like keeping your man in front of you not letting him beat you and score for a long gain. Hope they clean it up against the Rams cause it will be a long day

The defense seemed to be playing as 11 individuals instead of a coordinated group. Hopefully they get a lot of this corrected after seeing the film.

Any reason why they did not play D Watson the same as they use to play Vick with a spy on him? Allowing him to escape the rush and have an open field to run or pass extended several drives and drove the defense crazy.

You can blame the scheme but that means every single year we have had the same “scheme” for opponents to drive down on us last second.

I’m talking 5-6 seasons straight no matter who the coach is...

Players need to do their job. Something has to change!

Because nobody present for Vick's heyday on the Falcons is still on the Saints either as a player or a coach?

Yep couldnt have said it better myself

On the bright side, these are all things that will be fixed. This defense has a lot of potential, but both the coaches and players need to be more disciplined

There just aren't many excuses you can make for a D that allowed a 2 play 75 yard drive in 13 seconds.

There is absolutely no excuse for letting WR run right by you on two consecutive plays and score a TD. Both times, the Saints had the blitz on and the corners let them get behind them. That should NEVER happen. You can call it bad coaching if you want, but players need to play smarter than that. Play back a little more and keep everything in front of them.

they kicked the field goal from houstons 40 yard line, so unless the saints started their drive 5 rows deep into the stands, that wasnt anything near a 75 yard drive lol. they started on the 25 and drove 35 yards on that last drive with 52 seconds on the clock

Okay. So why does this keep happening? Is he misreading the coverage? Did he think they were rotating to cover 1? IMO, that’s still on coaching for not being clear. Again, this is something that has repeatedly happened under Allen.

They didn't kick a field goal, they scored a touchdown. On 2 plays.

If I am the HC or DC this is ALL we practice on at least ONE day of practice EVERY week. There is NO reason this should happen and yet it has CONSISTENTLY happened to us. Almost cost us the Carolina playoff game when we dominated all game only to have Cam Newton NEARLY throw a long TD pass, one I still don't understand how their WR didn't catch. It's a repetitive theme. The San Fran 11 game, The Minny Miracle. Brady did it to us in the reg season a few years back, the game SHOULD have been won...

I don't understand what's going on.
