***Official Saints @ Los Angeles Rams Game Day Thread*** (1 Viewer)

This was ugly but no blame to place here. When we lost Drew the offense lost heart. The defense did what they could with no help. Wise move keeping Teddy in the game or it would’ve caused problems in the locker room.
And I think this, and front office reputation concerns, is why fans probably need to buckle into at least one to three more weeks of this if Brees is out.

No way I can see Payton pulling Bridgewater for Hill unless Bridgewater leaves them no choice.

Offensive line not playing like trash. This is game two of a long season. Let's see how the team responds next week with a gameplan designed around Bridgewater.

Yes because giving up sack after sack and getting brees hurt is not playing like trash. Bridgewater sucks and the o line sucked it up. No way we beat Seattle.

I don't see Jared Cook helping this team much.
He acts uninterested. Sloppy in his routes. Lazy hands in catching the ball.
I doubt if Payton will have much patience with him.
Is Ben Watson available?
But he has endless patience with Bridgewater. Ive never understood the insistence that this guy is our future. If that is true, we are screwed.

We need to go with a two QB system with Drew out IMO. Hopefully coach implements that this week if Drew can’t go.

I’d have them split the snaps 50/50 and let the hot hand roll

I’d run a ton of read option with Taysom & Kamara and mix in some RPO as well. That could be really successful with some Teddy mixed in as well.

Looking at the way Brees was pin-pointing his passes before the injury, I'm positive the Saints would have taken this game. The season will depend on the seriousness of Drew's thumb injury.
But the Rams aren't the class of the NFC by any means. The Saints really played poorly today after Brees went down.

That was not a sack the Brees got hurt on. That was a completed pass, but he hurt his hand when Donald was swatting trying to block the pass. Not intentionally trying to hurt Brees. Just fluke play. And the line isn't gonna always play exceptionally. Teddy's sack came on him holding onto the ball too long. I'm sure the coaches will get that corrected swiftly.
