The team didn't help him out today. Too many penalties, poor tackling by the defense, and our offensive line just got whipped. But going forward, he'd better get it together.

I’m no Rev Deuce or TCUDan, but to me TB has a fundamental flaw and I’m not sure any of you guys have noticed but it seems like every time he throws a pass his arm slot is different. Unless Drew purposefully alters his motion to throw around someone, his throwing lotion looks identical every time.

TB’s looks different to me every time, which seems like that would seriously affect someone’s consistency.

Anyone else noticing this?

I think that the Saints go with Bridgewater because Hill is so valuable to the gameplay in other ways. But the game plan has changed. The Saints aren’t winning with Bridgewater at QB. They not win with Hill...but at least they’re is a chance of having a QB win some games for us.

Unfortunately now that Rev works with the Saints the likelihood of him having a critical Bridgewater tape is pretty darn close to the probability of seeing Brees within the next 6 weeks of the season

I don't know, he was being pretty critical of them on his YouTube live stream after the game. And rightfully so.

I don't think that Hill will be used in the "Swiss army knife" role at this point. Can't risk Hill going down if something also happens to TB. He lined up as receiver on a few plays today probably because we had other WR's injured; Kirkwood, Smith, and Ginn.

Maybe TB will play the entire game against SEA, and if there is a poor showing, Hill will get the nod against DAL.

Ginn got hurt too?!!!

im sure one of the guys gets called up from the practice squad for kirkwood. unless they activate carr, which one be shocking. if he isnt activated and they bring up butler, carr should be cut. i knkow its prob different positions they play but cmon, what is he doing here if he cant run the route tree?

Bridgewater was absolute trash. There are no excuses for him. He's a $7.25m backup QB. You want to know how much Brady's backup is paid? $653,423. Aaron Rodgers? $572,000.

You expect a $7.25m backup QB to at least have a small clue how to run the offense. Bridgewater had no idea what was happening and the body language of the rest of the team says he lost their confidence really quickly.

hopefull yhe gets his shot at a full week of prep next week, he wets the bed again hopefully Hill gets a nod before the season goes up in flames. with this division. 8-8 might get you in, and hopefully Brees is back by then

The one thing Bridgewater can do that it seems Hill isn't grasping yet is Teddy makes calls and can make checks at the line. The problem is once the play starts, he's hesistant and second guesses himself. Once a series he looks ready to hit his read, but waits as iff the WR needs to be open BEFORE the throws it. Not throwing to where the receiver will be open.

And frankly, that's the difference between Brees and also ran QBs out there. Brees sees the defense and knows the offense so well that the ball is coming out before the WR fully breaks and his accuracy is so pinpoint. On any other team, Bridgewater would be fine. He's a backup QB. Nothing more. And we need a true heir to the throne.

The defense played well until they were spent from getting no help at all from the offense.

What is frustrating is it’s clear the coaches had a good game plan and though it’s meaningless now, it’s realistic to think had Brees not been hurt, the Saints would have won this game decisively.

Bridgewater played poorly, and has never looked particularly confidence inspiring in game action here. I think he has the physical talent but I’m not sure he’s mentally where he needs to be, and losing hope he’s getting there anytime soon. This is his opportunity now and it’s on him to prove the team’s confidence was well founded. Quarterbacks are the leaders on the field and today’s performance didn’t reflect that necessary dynamic at all.
