Brees Injury Diagnosis MERGED (UPDATE: Drew expected to have surgery on torn ligament - out 6 weeks) (1 Viewer)

Well. They’re going to have to REALLY show us something very different in the next game or two.

Without drew. They’re not even close. Keep in mind we have some great talent on the team and that didn’t mean nothing yesterday. We all know Drew is Drew... but darn... you remove him from center and.... it’s hard to even look at.

Drew is so good. I think it’s easy to forget sometimes how good he is, because we see it every season.

I would like to see Teddy after a full week with the ones and a game plan built for him. I still think he is slow in his progressions and needs to speed it up a little

Me too, but I would be quick to make a change at QB if things look like yesterday. Granted, he got no support but he looked so uncomfortable in the pocket.

Drew will be back this season-in less than two months actually...

Wait, I thought you said potentially good news....:idunno:

Almost 8 weeks of Teddy Bridgewater, everyone may be on suicide watch... Unless something lights a fire under his ***...

From NFL via Rapoport and Pelissero:

Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who visited a specialist following his team's loss to the Rams on Sunday, is believed to have a ligament issue on his throwing thumb, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Monday morning.

The Saints will know the full extent today, but Brees is looking at missing some game time.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.

i am so beyond sick hearing this BS

HE GOT THE EXACT SAME SUPPORT AS DREW BREES WOULD HAVE HAD

stop making excuses for being unready to play and stinking it up when there were receivers wide open all day he just was too scared to throw it to

Sorry, but no one on offense looked like they were ready to play for Bridgewater when Brees went down. Did you not see their body language? Did you not see the dropped passes? I am not saying TB is the answer but no one stepped up either.

I disagree, several passes were dropped and several routes were wrong whether that's just not used to him playing or what , but yes even i did think he held the ball to long at times. He does have to be quicker teams we'll be keying on it from now on.

Confirms the tendon speculation (by Dr. Chao and others on here) - but severity not publicly known yet. Hopefully it is a sprain with something like 4 weeks.

I thought it was very odd to me that Drew had no ice on his thumb to reduce the swelling at any time after the injury. Not sure if it means anything.

It means it’s not a bone issue but a ligament issue
