Poll Who should start at QB? (2 Viewers)

If you had to pick one to start for the Saints for the entire next 6 weeks, who do you want at QB?

When did Hill ever play against starters, besides his limited snaps at QB last year? It certainly wasn't this preseason.

Edited (It was pointed out that I misquoted my own statistics. The corrections are indicated in red)

Taysom took approximately 13% 6% of all QB snaps in regular season games in 2018. I suppose you could try and argue 1 out of 8 17 snaps only qualifies as limited.

Albeit against backups. It was still encouraging
What was most impressive was his Brees-like command of the offense and huddle. The complete opposite of Bridgewater and his pouting, blaming receivers for incompletions, etc. Hill definitely gets guys to play harder for him than Bridgewater does.

Please name the several other teams. The Dolphins talked to him after they lost out on their first choice, Tyrod Taylor. Tyrod chose to be River's backup over that situation in Miami. If he had signed in Miami he'd be in the same shoes Fitzpatrick is in right now. ..Tank for Tua.

LMBO. You answered your own question... Show me the proof that he didn't have several teams after him - We know both the Saints and Dolphins were. That's two. Prove to me that there were no others, greg.

Yeah, that makes total sense. I see you know your stuff.... Oh, wait, nope. Sean Payton brought him back because they like to golf together, is that it? The dolphins and several other teams talked with TB about a contract, but he wanted to come back to New Orleans - what QB wouldn't want to play under SP? You and no one else outside of the situation have any clue how many teams talked to TB. Yet, I keep seeing this unsupported (me being nice) comment.
But YOU know how many teams he talked to?

It was reported that he talked to the Dolphins. No one else. Why wouldn't they have reported it just like they did with the Dolphins? They report everything in the offseason.

Surprised this thread doesn't exist already. This has been discussed a lot with Drew's injury, but a lot of people lurk but don't post, so just fun lets have a poll. Coach Payton is obviously going to do what he thinks is best but that's not what this poll is about, this poll is about if you had the choice who would you like to see under-center? Lets not get lost in the weeds with "let see how they look this week then decide" type answers, so for the purposes of this poll you pick one QB you'd want to start for the entire 6 weeks until the Bye, no swapping due to performance, one guy. Whether your choice is for entertainment, evaluation purposes, or who gives us the best chance to win, is completely up to you, but if you had your wish (out of these to guys, sorry no Drew Brees and no tacos) who would be at starting QB for our New Orleans Saints for the next 6 games?
Silly question. We just need TB to get his ___ together. We don't even know if 7 has any ___- to get together.

To put Taysoms snaps as QB in 2018, his 13% equates to almost exactly 2 full season games. Add to that the snaps he takes on offense at other positions. That's a lot of time playing with the ones. A lot of time in practice learning the offensive playbook.

I'm sure these were all secret negotiations. His agent doesn't want anyone to know teams are interested in his client as a starting quarterback.

Those were plays specifically designed for Taysom. That is not the same as plugging in Taysom to replace Brees while he is injured. Those same Taysom plays can be run with Taysom with Bridgewater taking the normal QB snaps.

Do you honestly think TB has a chance to win in Sea? Why not use a very likely loss to find out what Taysom can or can not do.

At the very least Sea is probably game planning TB. Taysom would throw a wrench into those gears.

How about this? Tell TB and TH that TB starts. If he is doing well by half time he stays but if we are struggling and are behind we switch it up? Can we at least agree that if TB has another 2 bad quarters he is unlikely to magically turn it around in the second half.

Teddy is the QB from now until Drew gets back. It's not a debate, it's not on a trial basis, its not going to change barring injury. It is THE plan, like it or not.

Taysom is the reason we have 2 TEs, 3 RBs, and 4 active WRs on gameday. Make him the starter and we are undermanned at several positions.

The only question I see is whether or not we pick up a backup QB for the next 6 weeks.
To bring in another back up, doesn't Brees have to be on IR. Cause he still counts against the 53 and not like being on IR cause then he wouldn't count against the 53. I'm asking, am I correct or no?

I think we'd just have to create a roster spot somewhere else.

So you say. But neither one of us knows just how much of the playbook Taysom knows , He has been at this for two seasons. His first season he was not a gadget player until late so he was the 3rd QB learning the same playbook as the 1 and 2. It is an insult to his obvious intelligence to argue he didn't pick up the offense in two years with the team.

I go back to my original position . Until Drew is back the goal is to lose as few games as possible. The TB supporters all talk as if the season is toast and we are now just playing to mature TB for next season.

Play the QB that can get the job done. If TB is not playing well then pull him and let Taysom try.
