I’m not saying Dunlap orchestrated this, i’m not saying he didnt.. i literally have no idea, but neither do you or anyone else who’s assuming the worst... LOTS of people have massive debt, credit cards, students loans or otherwise.. i’ve been there myself, in the past, thankfully.. so to me that doesnt mean diddly.

I realize this is a message board and it’s designed for us to all speculate and opine on crap we dont know for sure... but i’m personally keeping an open mind and waiting for all the facts to come out, that’s just me... and if he did orchestrate this whole charade himself, then i hope he rots underneath a prison.

Well, maybe not in this case, but it matters as far as discrimination based on sexual orientation overall. Even if it's the case that Dunlap made this up, it doesn't mean that this stuff doesn't happen all the time in other places.

Maybe, but there certainly seems to be a trend that when these acts seem to be too juicy they are, in fact, hoaxes.

If the statements that wwl etal have given to the police are false, and they’re revealed to be false, they have a big problem. They better sit down with Seth’s attorney and get this settled. That does not appear to be their posture at all.

If the statements by seth are revealed to be false, HE is going to have a big problem because I suspect WWL etal will be filing their own counter suit against him and he’s probably squirming a bit over that right now...

Seth has not sued, right? His attorney said hey are preparing a lawsuit.

I doubt there was ever an intention to sue. Sexual orientation is not protected by Title VII nor is it protected under Louisiana law.

I had never heard of Dunlap til this story came out, and I haven’t listened to WWL in years.. i have no dog in this fight.. but if WWL is accusing him of sending the tweet and then lying about it (presumably a criminal act)- then wouldnt Dunlap need to be afforded the presumption of innocence as well? Or are we just arguing semantics?

The sad thing is that Seth was very enjoyable to listen to. Regardless of who said what or who did what, he'll never work at WWL again and that is OUR loss.

What does that mean though? Are there municipal courts that have jurisdiction over employment cases? How do you appeal? To a state appellate court that does not recognize the law? Seems weird that the city has a law like that. I can see it as affecting who the city contracts with, but for actual civil remedies for the population . . . ? I am interested to know how it works.

Sure, there is a presumption of innocence... for a judge or jury.

This is a message board. We can talk about it.

WWL traced the source of the tweet to an IP connected to his personal phone. They also have video of him going into a room, closing the door, the tweet comes out, and then he emerges with his phone to show people the mean tweet.

It certainly doesn't LOOK good, and it certainly is MOST LIKELY that he did it himself. As with anything, the truth will emerge.
