Just because this story turned out to be partially fabricated (they really felt what Seth said in the tweet, whether they sent it or not) doesn’t mean that there isn’t a hostile attitude towards the lgbt community. The public gets caught up with the individual fabricated stories when we should be focused on the overall agenda toward keeping the lgbt community oppressed.

The last 3 gms at WWL Nola were/are white males. They fired the last openly gay manager a couple months ago. Newell Norman is a prominent host. If you add that all up, WWL obviously is guilty.

Btw is Nobronco and studiosaint the same poster? I have thought this for years. If they are not the same poster, they sure do have a lot in common.

As you are responding to a poster that is agreeing with me, I can only surmise that one of you has misconstrued my meaning.
Again, i am not certain who is guilty in this instance and my statement was not aimed at either party in particular. Some in here want to assume its "the rich guy" while other will assume it is the perceived victim. Assuming one or the other does not make you more moral...it shows bias. The same sickness that I referenced that makes a powerful person take others for granted also exists in those without that wealth and power.

Not all that complicated. But admittedly more cryptic than I meant to be. So I apologize there.

You’ll get a handful of Jessie Smollett cases a year. A disproportionately greater number of actual hate crimes, and a whole lot that default to pretending the latter doesn’t exist, the former is almost all there is, while embodying the very character of those that carry out and provide the safe space for the latter to continue the perpetuation. That when the former emerges, treats the event as almost grotesquely cathartic and as a celebratory space to further advance ignorance and disdain toward the objective problem of the latter, or those that point out it’s existence.

It wasn’t meant as a response toward you, but an opening to tea off on an angle this thread has(predictably) continued to take. About how these stories, whichever way they go, always expose those that most embody that character.

I know the usual media outlets don’t report it but I know you’re not ignorant enough to believe that since 2016 that fake hate crimes are on the rise.

Hell, while one of them predates the Trump era, there was some girl at LSU that wrote for their newspaper that reported an obvious loose cable wire was a noose and a couple of years later had “slurs” written on her Halloween decorations.

Let us not forget the Muslim girl “attacked” at ULL by a truck full of MAGA people on Inauguration Day who very obviously lied, which was first page news on huff post but never retracted when proven to be a lie.

I believed Seth and felt bad for him. But with these new revelations and the hoops a lot on this board are jumping through to defend him, or at least give him the benefit of the doubt, show exactly why half this board defected to TD and they plan on splitting the poli board here.

If your reflex toward sometimes situationally misguided postures amongst people trying to emphasize with the real problems minorities and marginalized people continue to face is to run to a board that’s major selling point outside of sports is a tolerance toward racism, misogyny, regressive attitudes, and the worst partisan rancor this side of 8chan, the problem isn’t with SR.

Hey, look on the bright side. Obviously this guy really, really wanted to file a claim for discrimination in the workplace but there wasn't any, as evidenced by the fact he went to such an extreme to manufacture evidence of harassment.

As the previous poster pointed out, such hoaxes are on the rise so perhaps the demand for bigotry simply exceeds the supply.

If you look at it that way, it's a great day for America. Now, if people can just learn that these hoaxes have a tendency to turn out poorly we will be even better off.
