Underrated Movie Quotes (1 Viewer)

"Don't call me stupid."

Archie: I do, I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.

I got a few wrinkles here and there, but I've laid under a thousand skies on sunny days. I look and feel this way, well, cause I drank and I smoked, I lived and I loved, danced, sang, sweat and screwed my way through a pretty damn good life. Gettin old ain't bad man; getting old – that's earned.”

Have you seen Buster Scruggs? This wasn't really quotable (for me), since I had to look it up, but still:

"Uncertainty—that is appropriate for matters of this world. I believe certainty regarding that which we can see and touch, it is seldom justified, if ever. Down the ages from our remote past, what certainties survive? And yet we hurry to fashion new ones, wanting their comfort."

Here's one from a different movie that I think I can quote correctly:
"Who else would I be?" (in response to the instruction, "Be yourself.")

"I can't buy a pack of smokes without running into 9 guys you've forked!" ~ Boondock Saints

"Speak to me as you would a small child or a golden retriever." ~ Margin Call

"We buy **** we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't even like." ~ Fight Club

"Well **** me gently with a chainsaw." ~ Heathers

Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some serious forkin' muscle.

I can’t even begin to explain how huge of a life lesson this quote was/is for me. I went into this movie 20 years ago not expecting to learn anything and walked away with this gem. This was a point in my life where I had just started my career earning decent money but still had an immature mindset and this quote really sunk in and I made serious changes at a young age. It has served me well and I probably tell my kids this 4-5 times a week in various forms.
