Didn't see a thread or a bumped older one. I thought it was a really good premiere episode kicking off s10!
I am hopeful they 'resolve' the Whisper arc by mid season, but it should be some good stuff getting thru it and you know Negan is gonna end up being the hero. Also I read Maggie is coming back to a starring role for s11. Here is a little recap if you are interested:

Premiere was good, but I must admit that my wife and I are pretty much just hate-watching at this point. The story is played out, but we feel we have to continue to follow it for some reason.

The premiere was good. I am very interested to see where this satellite story line goes.

It's like an old girlfriend that you know is bad for you, but you just can't let her go.

I thought JoeOKC would have been the one to start the thread for this year's Walking Dead season.....especially considering all the water that was used in this episode!!!!

It's called sunk cost fallacy.

I thought about starting a thread the other night when the premiere came on, but I didn't bother. I've been watching since the first episode and I'm gonna stick it out to the end, but I don't get anywhere near as excited as I used to. I enjoyed the premiere well enough. The numbers came back on it and it had the lowest viewership ever (not just for a season premiere).

Supposedly Reedus and McBride are leaving at the end of the season - would be the perfect time to end it.

I think Reedus and Mcbride both just signed a big deal to stay on for a few more years...
Reedus and longtime co-star Melissa McBride both inked mega-franchise deals in November, securing their involvement for at least three more years.
Maybe one or both will do a spin off series (the one with the kids?)
Reedus will make $350,000 per episode on The Walking Dead, and guarantees in his new contract reportedly make the deal worth anywhere between $50 million and $90 million over the next three years. McBride's new deal is said to be worth around $20 million over the same time period, which gives her a significant pay increase.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reedus (Daryl) and McBride (Carol) have signed substantial new deals for the overall Walking Dead franchise, that will both exist beyond the main series itself. Either one of the two actors could spinoff into their own movie, or onto another series, if they're written off the the regular Walking Dead show. No matter what, both McBride and Reedus are now signed on to The Walking Dead universe for a total of three years.

I love Daryl's character, but because of his actions, he got Glen killed and everyone who died in the war with Negan was his fault. They had the saviors by the balls until he ran the garbage truck through the wall and allowed them a way to escape.

Actually and honestly... I really am to the point I could care less about the show... The season premier was last weekend and I didn;t even know it and missed it... and I don;t have really any desire to watch it this year...

I guess that I will just force myself to watch since I am being informed now that last week was water intense...

But then again... I think that I may be WD'ed out... I dunno at this point...

Pretty pumped for tonight, looks like the origin of Alpha and Beta and how they came up with dressing up and walking with the dead.

I almost don't care but I'll watch. Samantha Morton is a phenomenal actress. Actually I think she might scare me in real life, too.

Nope. I'm done. Last season was just me "hate watching" the show and after I watched the first episode of this season, I came to the realization that I just don't care anything about this show. I got hooked on a show that seemed to have a destination in mind, and now it is just a show that will never end.
