Think we'll make a trade or two? (1 Viewer)

i don't think Larry leaves. If he wanted to leave he would have left by now.

No chance. They are 3-3-1, have won three in a row and are on the outskirts of the playoff picture. Fitzgerald is a fantastic guy to have as a WR for a rookie QB. He's not going anywhere.

Sanders will be tough to claim. There are like 10 teams looking to get him.

there’s a ton of talent out there. But we 100% need a WR before the deadline. MT has been doing it all for the past 5 weeks ?

I'd like to get a receiver but I'd prefer not to pay more than a 4th to get him. Definitely not more than a third, and I'd like to avoid that.

I think any of the names mentioned could help us. I think Sanders and Green will be traded - just a question of how high the winning team is willing to bid it up for a half-season rental.

I don't think the Giants are going to trade Golden Tate, they just signed him and Danny Dimes needs receivers. I don't think Larry F. is leaving Phoenix, he has said as much.

I'd like to see how willing the Jets are to part with Robby Anderson. He's on a 1-year deal with a $3M base pay - so he would only require $1.7M in cap space (if we got him this week).

Green is too risky and not ready to even practice. Sanders is not on the trading block. Brown would be a coverage nightmare for the opposition but his off the field issues are not worth the risk.

Robby is just a glorified Ginn. It wouldn’t really upgrade the offense.

Def:
If Apple sits this week; we still have PJ coming back after the Bye week. If all the indications that Apple is just hyperextended are correct we should be healthy enough at corner that we don't see a trade for another DB. CGJ held down the slot for us very well, hopefully Crawley can give us one good game. We just need to to survive the Cards and get to the BYE week healthy.

Off:
There are so many question marks if we need another pass catcher. Brees getting back in makes everyone even better. Its my opinion that if we NEED one Dez is there. No reason to break the bank or mortgage our draft pick(s) future for AJ Green (not sure if healthy) or Sanders. Don't get me wrong if we pull the trigger that will be amazing.

Dez Bryant is clearly not a viable option at this point.

A mid-rounder for Sanders makes the most sense. Especially given what type of WR he is.

At this point a glorified Ted Ginn sounds great! But I think Anderson is more like Meachem than Ginn. He's a tall lanky target who can run like a deer. He has shaky hands but playing with Drew would help that. I don't know if he'll be on the block but I think he could help this offense. Really any proven starting NFL WR in the league could help this offense. It's hard for me to turn my nose up at any WR right now.

But the more pressing need might be a Corner depending on Apple's injury. I feel like we can cobble together a decent Nickel unit if he's only going to be out a few weeks. Hopefully that's the case.

For the last few weeks Dez, AJ Green, Manny Sanders, Devante Parker, and even that vile human cancer Antonio Brown have been bounced around as potential trade/FA targets. A guy who I have not seen mentioned is the Jags Keelan Cole. In my opinion, if we're gonna invest draft capitol on a dude, he's gotta have some major upside, along w/youth, and the potential of staying w/the team and not being just a one year and out the door type of signing. I think the Eli Apple trade, for instance, is the perfect example of the type of trade we should be making.

Keelan Cole has the traits and all the makings of everything we need in a WR2. He's 26 and has fallen behind Chark and Westbrook in the Jags O. He's flashed a ton when given the opportunity to make plays, and that was w/a garbage QB in Bortles and rook sensation Minshew. Imagine what a dude like Cole could do once he's been integrated into our O?

On a side note, after the hits we've taken in the Secondary over the last week, I think CB is legit target as well. Artie Burns from Pitt would be an awesome get at the position. I think he'd excel and finally emerge under AG's guidance and playing in DA's scheme. He's young and can play both Slot and outside.

I like the WR options that are seemingly available, but I would be ecstatic if the Saints were to trade for Chris Harris or Xavien Howard.. Hell even Josh Norman wouldn’t be too bad.
