Can CJ Gardner-Johnson play corner?

CJGJ is slot CB/Safety hybrid, but he is not an outside CB. Just like PJ Williams is a very solid slot CB, but when he goes outside he’s toast.

I think many are underrating just how good Eli Apple was playing. Apple was essentially a second #1 CB for the Saints.... he is/was playing as well as many team’s best CB. Even if Crawley magically plays like he did in 2017, he’s still a downgrade from 2019 Eli Apple.

I’m pulling for Crawley. I’ve got faith that he can string together a few performances. Let’s not forget that he’s shut down Julio Jones before.
