Looking forward to reading the article. The headline certainly checks out.

His numbers will never be as good as some of the bigger name players, but he is a stud. If he leads the Pelicans to a top 6 or so seed in the playoffs this year, he will be in the conversation for MVP.

I wasn't on board, but having Lonzo Ball (and Frank Jackson) is going to let Jrue do a lot more things this year.

This was a great article and reinforces that he is my favorite pelican and has been for a few years now.

The hype of the other guys is great and needed for the team, but Jrue needs to be the heartbeat of this new team.

Well he got his worst game of the year out of his system in game 1. If he plays halfway decent today, we win the game. He was atrocious in all aspects though. Oh well, he will cause them to win way more games than he will cause them to lose. Also, I didn’t think officials could be worse than the NFL ones, but the NBA refs said hold my beer.

Some questionable calls on both sides, but obviously you don't watch the NFL.

sadly due to injury jrue has been forced to play the dreaded pg position. even with injury and inexperience this team should have 3 more wins if they made 4 more free throws a game and cut out 2 turnovers each half. but we are what we are and moving forward our roster has ridiculous potential. still need to get free throws and reduce turnovers regardless.

Unfortunately, even when healthy, Ball has kind of been a disaster in the half court, forcing Jrue to play a lot more point guard than we’d like.

I think NAW will get there, but he isn’t ready to be our point guard yet.

Agreed, but it's coming. All things being equal, I would rather have the injuries now rather than later and get the younger kids some time (I've loved Hayes' play so far). Emphasis on all things being equal - we need to get and stay healthy.

NAW is trying too hard right now....forcing shots and making bad passes. We don't need him to be a star right now. He just needs to relax and play decent

and I don't think jrue is anyone's secret. he is a former all-star and has made 2 consecutive all-defense teams. people may not watch the pelicans but every player in the league knows who jrue is and what jrue does. if he can get back to 21pts/7ast/4rb around the time zion returns with BI getting 20 on off days we will be really good. when jrue and bi get 20 the pels are special.

jj Reddick has gone completely OFF the last 5 games and it has been mostly due to jrue feeding him on kick outs. BI and jrue eat well together and both feed the rock. I cant wait til zion returns.

I like his swag and I hope he never looses it. but you're right.

I have seen him do a few attempts at a JJ Reddick style 3 pointer.

Glad you are trying to learn and emulate one of the best, but you ain't ready for that
