Brady has hit the wall (1 Viewer)

Saintsreport rule: if the Saints are 10-2 they are above criticism and on their way to the Super Bowl. If another team is 10-2, they should bench their QB and stockpile draft picks for rebuilding.
False. The 10-2 Saints need to fire everyone and completely change the offensive philosophy midstream or they have zero shot at winning another game. Or so my sources tell me after every game.

Yeah, I saw him on the sideline complaining to his WR's about no separation. Then he hits the TD to Edelman. So, he has his favorite WR and then a bunch of guys.... Advantage us. We have Ginn, too. :)

Every year, people get enamored with the new toy. This year, it’s the Ravens and 49ers. Last year it was KC. The year before that, it was the Rams.

What all the people writing Brady off, Brees off, the Saints off, etc. always learn the hard way is that experience matters in the playoffs.

This. We can criticize another team and say their Hall of Fame QB is showing his age, but if you do that to the Saints everyone wants to tar and feather you. Both teams are Superbowl favorites. SMDH.

Brady has hit the wall just like Peyton Manning did mid way through his last season. You can see he knows it and that’s why he is showing his emotions.
He throws a deep ball like Brees and doesnt put velocity on his throws to make catches in small windows. Neither can throw their receivers open as in the past. The saints have to stop bringing in receivers who have poor hands and are poor route runners. Still wonder if Brees has the same grip strength he had prior to injury. That in itself will take some velocity off ball. The saints need to run the ball more.

SPOILED Fans always complain about the WRs when their legend QB is no longer able to carry the offense.

There FIFY...

Totally agree with this. Saint and Pats fans have both gone the better part of 2 decades with two of the best QBs to ever play the game. Tom and Drew have made good receivers great for all that time. Now though, they need the players around them to step up to be able to continue that excellence for a little longer.

Right now they each only have 1 star WR and 1 star RB. New England picked up Sanu at the trade deadline hoping to give Brady another reliable weapon after Gordon crapped out again and the Antonio Brown fiasco... Saints brought in Jared Cook during the offseason for the same reason, and are just now starting to see returns on that investment.

Folks can talk all they want about Brees and Brady "hitting the wall", but they're still two of the better QBs in the league. I'm not sure there are any other QBs that could do what they're doing with the limited weapons at their disposal. Heck even the great Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a similar issue up in Green Bay. He has Adams and Jones and a bunch of young warm bodies... and his passing stats are just as inconsistent as those in NE and NO.

The torch might being passed to these new exciting young QBs, but the old dogs are still in the mix for the time being.

They should seriously consider starting Garrett Stidham.

You must be one of those who thought Brock Osweiler would have been able to guide Denver through the 2015 playoffs and win a SB with that defense, all because Manning was no longer playing like his usual self.

I'm 28.3% sure

If only anyone else in this thread could have been clever enough to think that up already.....

Oh, wait...

Shouldn’t it be 28.3% sure. ?

I disagree. He just has no WR options, and he's missing Gronk. His receivers run the wrong routes, and they get no seperation. That's what he was shouting about last night.

Every year, they throw dirt on Brady and every year he kicks it off and wins another Super Bowl. He's been there 9 times and has won 6. Brady will decide when he's done.

There's some saying about a pot and a kettle that makes this discussion sound familiar. We complain anout no one outside of MT & AK, they're experiencing the same thing basically. Before the garbage time TD (The game was over) they were doubling Edelman and stopping the run. We've seen teams do the same to us, which is why these 2nd WR threads keep popping up.

The difference is that we have Thomas, Cook, and Kamara. Brady has Edelman, and that is it. The Patriots haven't played anyone, and they have a great defense. They have gotten away with a lot up until last night. Their offensive woes showed up in a big way.
