The main difference I see between this match up and the one in 2011, is how confident/arrogant the 49ers are. In 2011, most 49er fans thought they didn't have a chance against us. They just hoped it was a close game. This year, they image that they are going to steamroll the Saints. I hope this motivates our guys and we come out with fire. I hope we show SF that the NFC isn't going to be a cakewalk because you beat the fraudulent Packers.
That is a distinct possibility as Seattle will have a say at home in December to have the niners go on the road in the playoffs as a wild card team.Let em talk all they want. The Whiners aren't even going to win their division
that would be so funny with all the hype all year to be a wild card. Although all we will hear for a week straight is how "no one wants to play this49ers team"That is a distinct possibility as Seattle will have a say at home in December to have the niners go on the road in the playoffs as a wild card team.
*I'm still not over 1988.Funky Whiners have worst, most arrogant fan base in the league when they are winning. They haven't won in years and now they are world beaters. Apparently they believe they are going to beat our butts because brees is old and can't move. If ever there was a time to hang a 50 burger on them, this is it. Hope we get vintage Brees on Sunday to prove them wrong.
And I'm still not over 2011. We need ultimate revenge for that.
Man, those people act like Drew Brees has the pocket movement ability of Dan Marino's grandpa.
They tout their team's 8-0 record against "pocket passers" as some sort of evidence that they are inherently built to stop the Saints. Sorry, but those "pocket passers" include guys like Baker Mayfield, Andy Dalton, Bad Jameis, Kyle Allen, and whoever the Redskins trotted out. I'm sure they could beat Danny Wuerffel, too.
I can only pray the 49ers staff is even one-fourth as naive.
I can't tell you how many times the other team has had some sort of pass rush supposedly built to shut down the Saints, that hasn't. J.J. Watt didn't lay a finger on Drew. Shaq Barrett was on some kind of all-world tear and did absolutely nothing. As long as our guys show up healthy and motivated, I expect a good game, win or lose. Terron Armstead is supposed to be back. And as hard as I have been on Nick Easton replacing Andrus Peat, he has done a good job so far and is better in protection.
The biggest issue other fan bases are having with this Saints team is that we aren’t the same offensive juggernaut, we are a complete team in all 3 phases. So they’re only really comparing our past teams and seeing that we aren’t playing great offense but they’re completely discounting this defense and special teams, which is not a good thing for them. I’m ok with their trash talk. Let them talk for now, they’re just getting used to this winning thing and they don’t quite know how to act yet.
Meanwhile look at this Rams fan
you forgot Aaron Rodgers.
I expect this be a good game, but asa 49er fan I admit I have all the confidence in the world that we will win.
This is a different team, and while our offenseis a little more finesse and weather dependent than I’d like - I think they’ll put in a show this week in the dome.
Nowhere is harder to play than Seattle for us, and we almost pulled it out in Baltimore.
But good luck,I think the NFC Super Bowl representative will be one of these two teams.
Oh you found the Ram fan! I was wondering who all those articles that refer to Rams fans was talking about.
