To the Belichick is playing 4d chess crowd (1 Viewer)

From the thread title to the graphic to the comment made by the OP, not sure what exactly is his point.

What I take from it is Belichick has probably done his best job coaching with the Patriots this year. You got an aging rapidly declining QB who can't put points on the scoreboard any longer and yet you're still managing to win ball games at a more than healthy clip.

Is this going to get it done in the playoffs? I don't think so. Unless they get the #1 seed, which at this point isn't looking likely.

They are a true dynasty with 6 super bowls. This year despite having a sputtering offense they have the same record as our team. I'd love it if our team "sucked" like them over the last 20 years.

All of that is irrelevant to THIS year where they are getting punked off the field by explosive young QBs like Jackson and Watson that run laps around 42 year old Grandpa Brady

They’re 10-2. Same as the Saints. Tied for the best record in the league. What’s the point here, exactly?

the point is sometimes things aren’t deeper than they appear on the surface. They were dominated the way they were because they are ready to get put out to pasture and replaced by the new young talent. Not because BB is saving his “magic” for the playoffs like his apologists keep saying.

And to this very eloquent point I get “muh 6 Super Bowls over 20 years”

The past 20 years are irrelevant. But THIS YEAR they have as many wins as any other team in the league and are the reigning champs. The Saints got blown out by the Falcons (and the Rams, who aren’t nearly as good as everyone thought at the time); and I certainly wouldn’t say we’re suck. Still not seeing your point.

"Maybe they both suck" would never be characterized as an "eloquent point".

The Falcons loss was a one off throw away. Not a dynasty being replaced by the next generation. The Falcons are and will continue to be trash. The Saints will continue to rein atop the NFC.

The Pats are a dynasty at the end. Grandpa Brady on the decline, their plan of succession will be starting for the 49whiners against us this weekend, and Jackson/Watson/Mahomes are next generation talent ready to supplant the Patriots for AFC supremacy

Just what is your personal grudge against Belichick? What is it about the greatness of a coach winning 10 or more games FOR 17 SEASONS that you don't understand? And, as pointed out by others above, at 10-2 with a QB playing like horse dung?

I don't like it myself because he's a jerk but he's also the greatest coach in the history of the league and anyone who doesn't see that has some sort of emotional block preventing them from recognizing an obvious fact.
