I'm getting nervous that there's no ***Official 49ers @ Saints Game Day Thread*** (1 Viewer)

While true, the injuries have hurt. And without 2 starting linebackers, we don't have the speed to consistently keep up with the 9ers offense. I just hope we get healthy enough by the time the playoffs roll around.
Yeah, because right now, the Saints are in 3rd place I believe. The Cheese heads hold the tiebreaker with the same record as the Saints.

Because you are trying to score a TD. The pass to TQS was just meant to get a first down. Missed tackles changed that. If you run the ball, maybe you burn the clock and still score, or maybe you get no gain on the first run and end up in 4th and 8 or something. You can't micromanage scoring a TD against the top D in the league.
True,
But giving the ball back to them was exactly what they needed.
I just feel like we could have kept it out of their hands throughout the game if we had just stuck with the hot hand.

Oh yeah!!!! Most important with the run game today is that we forgot that we didn't have Line. That was huge for the inside run to work for Kamara.

They do, but don't forget they play the Vikings soon, so that could have a big impact on who gets the 2 seed.

Problem is that poor defensive play is now a trend going back to the bye. Youd have thought the slap Atl put on us at home would have been a wakeup call. Now here we give up 48 points to Jimmy Grappolo at home.
No its not.

I dunno. If I'm the coach, I'm sure as hell not telling them to fall short of the goal line to burn clock to try and score a td with less time on the clock.

Yeah I get it. I’m just tired of seeing the same story play out.

I still don't agree
Yup. I told my wife we scored too quickly. We will lose this one.

When you're down more than 3pts... you get the TD whenever it's available. In that case he broke two tackles to get the TD. If we did stop him, there was no guarantee yall would have got the TD to finish the drive.

Anyway...crazy game, like before.... I'm tired.

I know. But both the Packers and Vikings are Jeckylls and Hydes. Never know which teams will show up. Right now, we need to win out and hope for a couple of losses by the 9ers. If not, the best we can do is set eyes on the 2nd seed. Who knows, the 9ers could lose in the divisional round, and we still host the NFCCG. The bottom line overall though is that we just don't wanna have to play that extra game in the wildcard.

I'll continue to ask this question: Why is it important to be the #1 seed (other than for the fans conveinece) when this game loss just proved to us that home field advantage doesn't matter to us

What more "factual information?" Our record shows that we are better on the road this season...

Because you don't want the #1 seed to go to teams like Seattle or Green Bay. Would rather play in a dome (New Orleans/Minnesota) or maybe San Francisco in January weather.

Yep. It was indeed a hell of a game. Y'all were at full strength, but we were not. Y'all also had to pull out all the stops, so if we meet again, we will have seen your arsenal. Y'all really haven't seen our best yet. Again, great game. Too bad both teams couldn't win.

True, yall didn't have your MLBers there, as well as Cook.

We lost most of our secondary late in the game, but yall were moving the ball early in the game as well.... I don't think Tartt would have made THAT big of a difference. He might have prevented that first TD... but Sean had a great gameplan. He just outcoached himself as well, this game. We're going to have to find a better way to be ready for next game.

We had some bad injuries this game... might have lost our starting Center for the season...dude has been great, especially since we've had horrible Centers for a while now and know how important that position is.

yeah I am not saying he shiuld have gone down or something. Just would have been nice to kickoff with 15 seconds left instead of 50.
