So, I was watching the LSU - Georgia game the other day. The announcers was talking about LSU's offense, and they said that they run the Saints offense under Brady. I began to watch what they were doing, and yes, it looked a lot like ours.

This is huge for us, because it shows just how much Coaches respect Sean Payton. To copy his offense, and run it for themselves is a huge complement.

Now, it can't be the exact same offense, because there is no way a College team has enough time to spend to learn it completely. But, still it was fun to watch. And, it got me to thinking that it would be nice if we could somehow trade up to get Burrows. He already knows some of our offense, so it wouldn't take him long to get the hang of it.

All he would have to do is learn the speed of the game and how to read Pro Defenses. Gives you something to consider for the up and coming draft. And, while watching this kid more and more, he looks like a real good pick for us. He seems to have all the tools.

There is no realistic scenario where we could trade up for Burrow.

Even if you suggest a Ditka-type trade, we are talking about a top QB, not a RB. The Bengals probably wouldn't even make the trade.

At this point, worrying about Burrow is like a dude in the trailer park trying to figure out how he can hook up with Carmen Electra.

Tua will go before Burrows. Plus, there are so many good Players going in this draft, it's not a given that Burrows will even be a top 10 pick. What I'm saying is that if he does drop - like what happened with KC a few years ago - we could trade up to get him, and it wouldn't take our entire draft to do it.

Tua is coming off a devastating injury. Not one single chance he goes before Burrow

This is the sad reality of it. The only way I could see Burrow going anywhere but Cincy is if he pulled an Eli/Archie Manning and made it known that he'd refuse to sign there. Problem being, he's from Ohio and would probably love to be the guy responsible for turning that team around in a Saints like fashion a la Drew Brees. No matter what, I'm going to be a Joe Burrow fan for life when he isn't playing the Saints.

Yeah, it'd be wonderful to be able to get him and be able to plug and play him the second Drew hangs them up, but he's just been too damn good this year for that to be remotely possible. He's going to win the Heisman by what people are saying could be the largest margin in history and has a really good shot at winning the national championship on top of that - and of course being the best player on the field in that game. If he was just marginally better than last year and LSU wasn't winning with an offense the school has never put on the field before (and still be projected as a mid-round pick like he was at the end of last season) then we'd have a chance, but that's not what happened.

Dude, you're really reaching here. Tua has been injury riddled the past two years and is coming off a huge season ending injury and might not even be healthy by the combine. There's talk of him going anywhere from the late first to third round because of his injuries and the fact that he may never be the same player again. If he's smart, he'd return to Alabama to bring up his draft stock again to a top pick by showing he's the player he once was.

Things can change but Burrow is emerging as a player many prognosticators see as a top 5 pick, and very possibly, the #1 overall. The season he's having, the skills he's displaying, his ties to Ohio, and the Bengals in need of a new identity at QB, there's the appearance, at least, of a strong fit there.

Tua's fortunes are going to come down to how his rehab is going and what the prognosis looks like for him in the spring. I don't think it's a given that he's still a top 1st round pick unless/until the picture surrounding his health clears up.

Mel Kiper said yesterday that there's Joe Burrow and then everyone else in this draft - even the early #1 projection of Chase Young, who he says will be picked by the Giants at #2 without thinking about it. He backed it up with his amazing second year at LSU compared to what was a pedestrian year the season before. Last year, he didn't have a single game with 70% completions. This year, he hasn't had a game with less than that. He's going to break Colt McCoy's record and do it playing in a conference that plays defense, unlike the Big XII.

That actually doesn't seem all that far-fetched.
