Saying goodbye. (1 Viewer)

Is any one of you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. 14Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick. The Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
This passage is completely true. Recently, I had 2 back to back Kidney Stones. The 2nd I passed. The 1st, I couldn't pass because it was over 6.5 mm. I couldn't get to a VA, so I had to suffer with it. However, I got to church, and I asked for healing according to this passage. I had them lay their hands on me and annoint me with oil. That night, the pain got to be unbearable, and I cried out to the Lord. I lay there for a few minutes in great pain. Then, I heard that small still voice! I was told to get up and get a drink of water. I almost couldn't move because of the pain. I told the Lord yes anyway. I went and got a drink of water. The pain left me almost immediately, and the next morning, it passed on its own, even though the Doctor had told me it could only be passed by being removed!

I was faithful to what God told me to do. And, He, as the great Physician, did what He promised! He first removed the pain, then He removed the stone!

How many times to we hear the testimonies of Doctors, that after they have given the pronouncement of a Terminal diagnosis, then come to find out that a tumor, or some other fatal pronouncement has dissappeared? They then say that they can't understand what happened?

Only God can do this. His word is completely true. It has never failed.

I know many of you won't believe this. You see, you have to have faith. When you trust God completely, He still works miracles. He is still the God of the Impossible. Nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing is impossible for those who believe in the Truth of His Word, and the truth of His promises. We can't limit Him!

Many doubt. Not only His word, but Him also. I could give testimony after testimony to the truth of all He has promised. But, as Abraham told the Rich man who was in torment, "even if one rose from the dead, he wouldn't be believed."

Through Faith, we believe to righteousness and are saved, and through Faith, we believe God and are healed.

God is faithful. Always! Yes, we do have trials and tribulations. Sometimes, we don't receive that miracle we seek. However, its not because He has become unfaithful. The Word says that He will work out for good to all things for those who love Him. However, we have to remember that He sees all things. We never know what will happen. Our own faithfullness through our trials - even a trial that leads to our own deaths - may bring someone else to faith because of our own faithfullness.

We are all mortal. We all have a time to pass. "It is appointed to man once to die, then comes the judgment." But, the good news is this - If we receive the faithfullness of God by faith, we won't face any judgement, and we will spend eternity in the Bosom of Abraham. "For we are not appointed unto wrath, but to receive salvation."

Humperdoo, take hold of these words, my friend. They are faithful, and true. Remember, there is nothing God can't do. Nothing!

What is the measure of Faith? He of little faith says, "God can do it." He of good Faith says, "God will do it." He of great and perfect faith says, "God has already done it."

Ask, and you shall receive. But, ask in faith! Trust Him to keep His promises. He will, because He is faithful.

Take hope in this, my brother. God Bless.

Welp Josh, guess you're gonna have to hang around through next season. :)

Chuck I’d love to! They’ve got me on gabapentin for nerve pain and some other meds that are helping with the myriad issues, been having a good last couple of weeks and am so so thankful. Such a blessing to not be in excruciating pain and I’m thankful for every day for that and what little I can still see. Blessed. Hope you’re having a great new year so far Chuck.

I don't come into EE very often but today I did and came across this thread. I am sad. I have seen your "likes" on my posts and have enjoyed reciprocating in kind. I have enjoyed your opinion and fandom. With a heavy heart I wish you peace, happiness and dignity. Thank you for being a Saints fan.

Ya know I’ve been told some use Gabapentin to get high. I must be wired wrong because it doesn’t do anything but make the pain bearable for me.
I haven’t been put on that. I’m gonna ask my doc at apt next week. Thanks for the heads up. ?
