With Zach Line hangin’ em up, the Saints offense needs a new FB. Line will be missed, but Nevada’s Kelton Moore could be a potential replacement. Moore is similar to Zach Line when coming out of SMU, and if Moore buys-in to converting to FB, he could be a sneaky weapon for the offense. At 5’11, 240lbs, Moore is a powerful runner and capable receiver.

Most sites have his projected round from 6th - FA. He has the build of a FB, but he was a power RB in Nevada’s offense.

Saints better not use a draft pick on a FB. We have a laundry list of things before that we need to address.

6th and 7th round picks are a crapshoot. If they decide a FB is worth a shot in round 6, I’m fine with it. Moore will likely end up an UDFA though. However, if a guy like AJ Dillon (Boston College) is there in the 6th round, I’d cross my fingers that the Saints grab him.

The only way I see them using a Draft pick on a Fullback is if there's a guy who they feel could be the next Kyle Juszczyk, who can run deep seam routes and wheel routes out of the backfield, has soft Wide Receiver like hands, all while still being a capable blocker in the run game.

I could absolutely see Payton falling in love with a player like that and spending a 4th, or 5th rounder.. don't know if there are any in this draft.

Otherwise I see Fullbackl being addressed through Undrafted signings, and camp workouts

It's probably no coincidence that the running game worsened after Line got hurt. Fullback is important in the Saints' offense.
